I live in Brussels, but I haven't visited the museum yet, so this is the time I guess.

Sounds like a nice event, maybe next year an outpost event @ leopoldsburg?
Find a way to allow tankers to drive a real tank, leopard perhaps?
I would pay for such an opportunity!

Indeed, good reason to finally visit the museum for free... and score some WoT goodies ;-)

I registered yesterday, any idea when/how we will get a confirmation/invitation (being part of the first 100 etc.)?

See you there!

EDIT @ PhanterTank: the Leopard 1 is (sadly) no longer in service with the Belgian army (only wheeled, lighter vehicles now), so... doubt it would be possible :-(

hmmm, i am working saturday for that actualy museum, repairing/restoring tanks in one off theire depots in Landen. Could you comunity members not ask the museum to do something there once? could be interesting for both parties. on the plus side for the EU staff, they speak french in that depot ;-)

example from our work in Landen:

to clarify my post above, its a group of volonteers who work for the army museum on saturdays, under the supervision of someone from the musum itself. Twice a year we drive around with those tanks (tanks in town at Mons and Nuts days in Bastogne)

another example off work we did 2 weeks ago: https://dl.dropboxus...26 15.43.11.jpg

Is this interesting for Dutch/Flemish speaking people in Belgium as I see that its with the French community like the museum will it be in French only or both languages as Brussels isn't really known to use the 2 official languages lol

Hello everyone!

The reason why it's a French/English event is simply because Dutch isn't one of our supported languages.
On a side note, we have already announced an event in the Netherlands recently; the article was published in English:
Wargaming.net rolls out to Firstlook 2014 in Utrecht

But since a vast majority of our dear players speak English (we saw that once again in Bobbejaanland), we'll manage to establish communication and have a good time together (in advance, forgive the accent)!

We won't make the list of registered players public until the event itself (mostly because we don't want anyone "snatching" the identity of other players on site :harp:), but so far we have more than 150 registered players!

crazytony0, thanks for the input! The meeting point is mostly to meet in a tank-friendly environment, but for next time it could be nice to meet with your team!

Looking forward to meeting you ;)

well, that would be very nice indeed. perhaps if you could ask already the museum staff what their point of view on that matter would be, that would be great

Hey crazytony0,

Maybe you can convince the people at the museum to let us have a sneak preview of the new WW I room :-)

I guess they are enjoying their cozy job, while volunteers like you do the dirty work....

Anyway, I'm looking forward to meet you and have a little talk about your restoring work. I read somewhere that the museum has more than 200 tanks in different shape. I would love to know what they have and were it is all stored!

See you tomorrow?
