More credits for money that you can grind easily for free, just what this game needs;

More people buying their way to tier 10 tanks instead of playing, getting to know the game (mechanics), learning skills and gaining experience.

Additionally: Why do Large Medkits in the "Medivac" have cogs/gears as a symbol in your images, is it too much to ask to make that icon an actual medkit?

Once again, offer of the month is the only offer that's half decent.

POPULAR

Right, enough is enough WG EU. Have some feedback from one of your (very) paying customers - I've got 43 premium tanks (of which four are gift/rewards), 84 tanks in garage in total, and have spent more with you than I care to admit.

Firstly, you need to get your head around the difference between 'Special Offer' and 'Slight Discount'. None of the linked can really be considered an offer - special or otherwise - they're just a slight discount. A Special Offer is something which encourages a customer to spend money outside of their usual spending pattern. The offer needs to unusual enough to prompt this break from behaviour. It doesn't necessarily need to be a huge bargain either - just something which is usually unobtainable, irrelevant, or not considered.

For example, my idea of a special WoT offer would be thus;

'Buy 10,000 gold, and get 10 garage slots FOC'

This works for the player, but more importantly works for WG - the vast majority of players sell tanks when their done. However, the bigger your garage, the more likely you are to spend gold on things like demounting equipment, retraining crew, etc. As I said, I've got 40 or so non-premiums in the garage. I'm forever dropping little bits of gold on them swapping crew and kit about - I don't even realise I'm doing it, just notice my gold balance is depleted suddenly.

or

'Buy 5,000 gold and get slightly rare Tier III FOC'

Again, no loss to WG if you're offering old gift/giveaway lights as the incentive (M3 Light, Vickers Mk.VI, T7 Clown Car, etc) - you have lost no revenue by gifting a 5 euro tank with the gold, because those tanks aren't available to buy anyway! What you've actually done is given an incentive to spend for those who don't have them, and a smaller incentive to those who do, but fancy the extra gold and garage slot.

finally, there's the wealth of rare, unusual, and infrequent tanks that aren't the KV-220, where you can a) really take the proverbial with the cash you're asking, and b) really generate some cash

'Buy 50k gold and get Type 59/62 or BT-SV + Pz.IIJ FOC'

Again, I don't think anyone's going to moan about these rares being offered because the people that do have them are either not playing that much these days, or are grown up enough to know how this works. On top of that, the price keeps them exclusive enough to limit it to the serious collectors who won't play them that often, or the spoilt rich kids who will fail hard and stop playing them

Oh, and one other left of field idea;

'Lucky Dip - buy 10k gold and get one random premium tank (Tier II/III/IV) FOC'

You see where I'm going with this?

Bit of imagination, is all it takes...

I wonder if there's some sort of catch 22 with those offers. Right money/gold is on sale and does quite well. Other packages/bundles  are not offered since they are not selling well, but this might something to do with the fact that there are no other offers besides silver+gold bundles.

Well at least these offers are good for gardeners, a huge steaming pile of equine manure.

Offer of the month is decent, bought it couple of times, 19,99€ for 3,5k gold + months prem account ain't that bad, but come on, I don't even consire buying anything else, those "offers" are just useless... And few messages up, duncham1 gave some very good examples how the things should be done, real special offers with something... eh... special, like cheap prem tank for "free", it's just pixels in the screen so it wouldn't hurt the WG's balance at all, I doubt that anyone really buys those tier 2-4 prems anyway, especially those that are for sale now.

Last time an actual tank special appeared in the premium shop was 19.09.2014, nearly a month ago. These are hardly even worth considering, I used to get the odd Offer of the month bundle, but since they changed it I've not bought it once. I assume they are holding back because of all the Fury promotional stuff on the horizon?

On top of that, the price keeps them exclusive enough to limit it to the serious collectors who won't play them that often, or the spoilt rich kids who will fail hard and stop playing them

Think again sunshine. People who bought those tanks via the Russian & German gift box sets (that stated they were limited to 6k tanks ever) from WG's Russian retail outlets and paid approx £90 a pop (including shipping) for them would have plenty to say about the Pz2J or BT-SV being offered in a special. They would go more than ballistic, and they're not customers WG wants to upset because they are among WG's most loyal customers & biggest spenders (they'd have to be to have spent that much on a tier 3 & to have gone to all the trouble of importing them from Russia). And they could never make the Pz2J commonly available, it would unbalance tier 3 worse than hordes of T-59 would unbalance tier 8. A J can't pen a J, you'd end up with teams of them facing one another and them not being able to do anything, it would trash tier 3 and it would ruin the game for newbies still grinding through that tier. You should see the rage you get in tier 3 games when someone spots you have a Pz2J or BT-SV and knows what they are or finds out in game what they can do. They see it as a cheat, they would go mental if there were loads of them about. And T-59 isn't going to get offered ever for exactly the same reason, it would unbalance tier 8. And WG have already said most of all that.

It's also good for WG to have those tanks unavailable, they can make them rare top competition prizes or use them as very special give aways at events, like they gave Pz2J codes out at Gamescom 2012. And them being rare adds to WG's cult credibility, which helps makes them money in every way.

T-62 though could be made available, and I'd guess since it was offered as a mission reward it will be getting offered in the gift shop soon, for the sake of those working who simply didn't have the time to earn one in the mission.

Going forward I suspect some of the existing prems may be getting retired at some point, then WG will have a whole new generation of unavailable tanks to offer. And that in hand with them introducing new prems to maintain the interest of the longer standing / more saturated players.

It was more about the concept of what makes an offer 'special', rather than any particular tank mate

Oh, and please don't call me sunshine - unless you're at least 40 yrs old
