No more Tier I’s serving as scouts! Every vehicle can deliver a significant amount of firepower to the battlefield.

Noooooo!!!! My T1 will cry untill the end of time... :D

Assault mode,why oh why!!!!!

Now with 2 base's to defend , just WOW !!!

Well done wargaming, you made yet another mode people wont play. You made this mode to easy now for the attacking team, before it was too easy for the defenders. It now only takes the defending team to be down 1 tank and the attacking can just go send 1 player to the other cap happy days. The tank tier is better but still, hope the players which will be small enjoy the new mode.

Hmm, interesting.

Honestly, I got used to "old"set up of 5 tiers VIII and a couple of roaming T1. It was good as T1 could be a newbies for training or sometimes if difficult to get people skipped at all without a big  influence on a battle (though having them is always good bonus)

With new set up I can see some difficulties to work on and keep tier 7 or tier 6 in garage. What I mean is that right now you work on tier 8's and care for t1 and that is quite easy, while making sure that my garage have an extra tier 7 - 6 (i guess for scouting) might be a challenge for someone.

I feel that biggest change will be with 2 capture points attack/defend based maps. I'll see how that will go on. :)

Also, maybe it will be possible to add spectator mode like in a training room (for your own team only) that takes no team points but can observe the match?

Other than that, looking forward to new patch.

... I was enroute to the 13 90... that seems to become unviable now. 2x tier 6 (12t? probably not, probably something else). or 1x tier 7 (bulldog?)...

I like the odd team battle.

But Assault mode, no way. I suspect most players turn off assault mode in random battles because like me, they HATE it.

Plus why restrict them to the same maps and 2 versions of the same map, Himmelsdorf.

I hate that map with a passion.

So I will NOT be playing team battles if this goes ahead.

The old team battle was also giving the opportunity to play at 5 or while not having the tier 1 for scouting.

It was of course playing with less view but it was a minimal impact to play with 5 tier 8 and beeing able to win games with not so much problem.

Here with the new meta for team battle, if you miss one person you'll have a tier 7 less... and if you miss 2 person then you'll have 2 tier 6 less. This has a so much bigger impact.
Then this new meta makes team battle not possible to play at 5 or 6 anymore.

I don't say the changes are bad, we'll see how it goes but it's definitely less flexible for players...

C'mon, stop trying to ruin this game.

1. Leave the current mode as it is.

2. If you want changes, just add it as a second option or complete new mode.

Now you're just killing something that is good.

Problem with assault mode in randoms is that you need team work. Here you have it. Also, at least this makes watching competitions more interesting as both teams cant just camp.

I like those changes when it comes to watching ESL, not so much in Team Battles though. Now you need to have 7 reliable players instead of 5 (T1s could be played by almost anyone, if he at least cared to listen), which might not see much of a deal for everyone, but I don't like it personally. And as much as I hated those south base camps on Ruinberg, I am not fond of attack / defence.

I have to see how it plays, but in general it seems like an improvement.

1) No more draws from inactivity
2) More interesting setups, due to T6 and T7 use
3) The bases seem defendable, being close to each other and the increased counter sounds reasonable. It might be interesting to try some 3/4 split attack... or maybe not, because there might be 3/4 defense. There will be some tactics developed over time, I am sure, but it gives space to more variety than "rush one spot or camp one spot".

4) Have I mentioned no more draws?

In the old 7vs7 if you were one tank down you pretty much lost it too (talking T8s, of course), so there's no big change there. As a defender you just have to prevent that, as an attacker too.

First ever organised game mode in which you can play tier VII vehicles? Nice!

edit:

I know of course that tier VIII and X companies technically allow that, but it's not really something that could be described as viable option.

I'll have to see how this will play out.

But at the moment many people really dislike assaultmode, me among them.
And that's fine, because I don't have to play that mode to enjoy myself in the game.

One thing I really enjoy in the game are the Team Battles. Play with a few friends on a fun Tier that most people have. And best of all , you can be with five, six or seven people. And you can bring new people, because they can always drive a T1 and show them what it's like.

That will be done with now. No more tag along for new people. No more playing with five, six or seven people. You're now all screwed if someone has to leave. And all in a gamemode I don't care for.

At the moment I consider Team Battles the most fun mode of the game. Not being stuck with random people, not needing large amounts of preparation or people and on a fun Tier. Just grab a few friends and go. Clanwars and in a lesser extent Stronghold are played to support the clan, Random Battles are to grind and complete quests. Team Battles are for fun, just plain old fun with friends.

We'll see, but no I'm not happy with this prospect.

Edit: Sorry about the rant, there are upsides too.  Like Tier 7 being viable. But I seriously fear for my favorite gamemode.

When can I download the test server? I mean, when it's going to be announced?
