There is already a config - look for json file named after the mod itself; you will find two distances there: white/blue threshold and white/none (too far) threshold

I am not sure how DDS works - I have only taken code from damage indicator which has flash file only; it is easy to edit the flash using ffdec - you extract the bitmaps, edit them and upload new ones (i will attach the bitmaps here - they were created by inverting colors of damage indicators - you can send me idea for modified ones)

yes - blue is just based on the distance only, no aiming direction check is made

  • Attached File   bitmap5.png   22.88K

LOL, I'm an idiot, doing so much I didn't even look close.

Ya, I was just checking if you were able to.

I did fiddle with the images some, but couldn't figure anything better yet than what you have.

If I ever get free time maybe will fiddle more, but no matter.

Thanks again guy.....  This is now a key mod, so please keep it up, and again, you should release it separate so it can get popular.

Cause I have no doubt people will love it.  My users are loving it.

new file uploaded - spot indicator only

Thx for making this version like leeuniverse suggested. Hopefully it will be useful on my games. Will try it out.

another file - smaller fix on after-battle cleanup (causing error in python.log) - not sure about the impact but its better to update

Do you have update for spot indicator too? I don't dare to use anything but that and it's not working in CW. Though I probably can test it only after campaign is finished since I might have enough fame now...

BTW. Spot Indicator is very useful and good mod even for a player who usually remembers to look map most of the time. Thanks for that!

Maybe you could add a switch in config for spectator mode after death? It would be useful when helping friends on TS - for minimap direction, i mean.

Thanks!

At least it works in CW replay unlike the old version. It probably works live too then :)

EDIT: Yes, it worked in actual CW-match too.

What happened to minimap indicator? Moved to separate mod? Removed completely?

spot_indicator is a simplified version for NA server where minimap direction is prohibited

after being blown out by the arty from the back despite having the mod i decided to review it :)

- white indicator can be unnoticed as it is small, white and lasts for <2seconds only that is why I have increased mine (and default config's) blue/white aka close threshold from 100 into 150 meters

- there is now a new option called "repeatOutOfFOV" (true by default) which will be repeating blue indicators for targets outside of field of view

New file uploaded. Please test it and let me know what do you think.

Then maybe it would be better to separate those two and just not upload one of them on NA? Those different names got me...
