vs other scouts the HEP is strong vs sides of glass cannons very strong also.. everything else needs HEAT.

I know the basics but is not reliable, too often you get to shoot at sides and hit the track. In close combat sure you hit the thin areas but this tank is not good at that, medium to long is better because has no armor, low HP and is very easy to hit (even at high distances). I got too many 60 something hits in t71 or centurion 1 side, not to mention that e75/tiger2 sides are impenetrable as well as tanks like e-100, even in the rear. Maybe i don't want to use HEAT, is too expensive and is one of the ammo types i loath the most, i prefer AP over HEAT anytime. In my view APCR>AP>HE>HEAT.

The only thing you can do with the 90mm is chase out other scouts and even then it is horrible. Last night with the 90mm- i shot amx 1390 twice for about 29 damage each shot. It is pathetic- at least with the 150mm you can oneshot scouts if you actually manage to hit them. With the 90mm you have to use gold to be reliable but for me at least it is a waste of credits. 4000 credits per shot for 240 damage is simply not worth it in tier 9 and 10 games. Better use the 150mm- at least for the "lol" moments.

I've said this before, but I found the best way to use the 90mm was to focus on tracking your oppoent in the open.

If you can track and spot, you will get very good XP returns.

In some of the matches before I unlocked the big derpgun, I found out that shooting BELOW the enemy tank is quite effective sometimes. Especially if you can shoot the tracks from an angle. Sadly, my teams were so horribly bad when grinding that tank that I barely never got the opportunity to do that again.

But @ topic: THAT tank with THAT big derpgun is one of the few unique vehicles in the game. Why yould you NOT use it?

The only point driving T49 is using 152! U drive it for DERP, not for the dmg!, The DERP is the only true way of T49!!

About stock gun:

Hitting the BACK! turret of a wte100: 153 dmg.

Hitting the side of an amf 57: 88 damage

Hitting the front of a 13-75: 82 damage

Stock gun fails. Fails even against non-existent armor.

This was a recent match: side of a wz120 2 times, side of an object 263, and a back of an is7.

152 is the only choice. With the 90mm you are basically playing a bad RU251/T-54 LT.

Of course it's nowhere near as good as either of the tanks - especially since the 9.6 accuracy nerf - but at least it's derpy and kind of fun at times.

90 mm only works on light tanks. you get that derp moments when the RNG decides to pen something but it's not like the accuracy and aiming time make up for it.

152 mm doesn't need to pen. An LT doing 300 damage guaranteed on any armor is just better. The 152 mm doesn't need RNG for a shot the 90 mm only gets once in a while.

When the matchmaker is on your side, and you get a lot of battles with a minimum of 9 tier 8's, sure, nice, 90 mm is great. Heavy surfaces, you want to use the 152 mm to do substantional damage.

Use the 152mm. It is hard to hit but when it hits the enemy knows it:). And you can 1 shot rhms and LTs which is always nice.

I think I used 40% of my games with 90mm. Sure it cost a lot but was fun. Why you ask?

The gun depression and height of the machine makes it more comfortable to shell targets vs T54lt (-6 deg?) or RU 251 with its small height and uneven gun dep. Also soft targets get totally ripped apart bcs 300 damage HEP ammo (like RU251 gets also).

If comfort is not your thing use 152mm for derpy fun and do serious play on RU 251. IMO T49 with 90mm is just fine instead of 251 in any play (as long as youre willing to use the credits)

on a good game I did about 2k damage on 152mm and 90mm - do difference there. But I bet I won more with 90mm :-) as you can more dictate what to damage, when and where.
