Great map indeed. Absolutely love it.. More historical maps would be appreciated, Indeed the emotion is there for people who know their history. Some suggestions: Valley of tears, Sinai campaign, Tobruk, Lowe heights, Overloon. Keep them coming. http://www.militarye...litary-history/  http://www.godutch.c...dex.php?id=291

There are more invisible walls in this map than in Skyrim. Nonetheless, it looks pretty neat.

I really like it.  Big, lot of places to be, loads of cover yet some spots where you can see half a mile down a road.  Scout paradise.

While at some point I thought - it's new map and with new maps it's always required to adopt and learn - Stalingrad was true dissapointment. There are no any consistencies in map design, overall atmosphere is completely bad.

According to my perception and aesthetics, best maps are Karelia, Malinovka, Himmelsdorf, Prokhorovka and Ruinberg. Mountain Pass and Erlenberg can be very interesting and exciting, but all other maps are just bad. I guess it's like that with everything in life - you can't have it all.

Yes, truly a great map. Please continue giving us maps on which everything is about close range combat. Yeah, why fight on 500-600 meters? That's absurd. Plus, it's a harder to hit someone. Yeah, just put some hills on those opened grounds we've had before. On the types of maps you've created/modified so far, every 7 year old can hit something. That's nice, and very considerate of you to keep that demographical portion of population happy.

Additionally, I'd like to use this opportunity to commend your perspective on medium/light tanks. They're great! They really set the realistic tone of some tank battle that happened near New Berlin, Mars in 2276 A.D., in which everyone mounted a gun barrel on his top notch racing car of insane mobility and called it a tank. Too bad they forgot to install hovering plates.

Another terrible map that is only good up to T6. No wonder you want to reduce view ranges on all the tanks, why make maps bigger when you can just cut the distance till we spot each other.

Thanks, one more map to add to my ignore list...if that would be possible. Stalingrad with tanks? How could you even come up with that? City maps are Ok, but this one is a mess and chaoss.

I played this map on the testserver, not yet on the live server. I can't really tell what I think of this map just now, but I'd like to see the name of the map changed from 'Stalingrad' to 'Rubblegrad'

Nice map guys, you have really caught the historical destruction of it, give yourselves a pat on the back.

Will you be doing a winter version?

as much as i agree with you, i disagree.

agree:-

YEA ,RUSSIAN TANKS LOW RANGE COMBAT HHURRR DRRRR.

well, since the sterotype that russians tanks are OP because of the nationatily of the DEV (T-54 stock anyone?).

we all think that they put a place for the IS series to exist somewhere in the maps, which happens to be Everywhere considering that increasing Brawling capability of these tanks, and the close proximity of the stalingrad map.

disagree:-

nope, i found great places to snipe from, with the Ability to hull-down of course.

and i have attempted to snipe at 500m, and believe it's going to be hard to Hit tier 9-10 heavies and TDs, unless that game of course stop Relying on accuracy and aiming time and return to the historical sights, which will of course change this game to Warthunder insited of WOT

This map is GREAT ... at sucking.

You have to spend hours on it learning which objects are destructible and which are not.

Many walls which would be easy to cross on other maps, here are completely tank-proof. If they can stop 40 tons of steel - how they got destroyed in the first place?

Map favors heavies and (flanking)-mediums too much.

Where are the balanced maps where td, scouts and arty made some sense?

I prefer to play infantry in city, and not tanks !

The map doesn't have charisma for me, it looks all over the same for me, there are no special recognizable places.

After Charkov that one feels dissapointing.

I like the obstacles in the streets which make it possible to take cover.

Some Ideas from me to make it more special:

  • Stalingrad was a big industrial city? Maybe introduce some gigantic factory halls where you also fight indoor, just between production lines of tractors or T-34s.....
  • Let arty start on opposite side of volga! They could shoot over the river into the city! Tanks driving on shores of city, on the main side would be able to spot & attack them. Arty could still take cover (but just few possibilities for that) and would have to disengage... When the map is huge enough that way would be also arty safe zones for the arty haters.
  • Instead of open place in the map center, and many similar roads, huge cities need one major wide road, which is to monitor by TDs, Scouts, Arty
  • Mediums and Heavies can advance and flank via the small side roads, slower, Or faster but more dangerous using the mentioned main traffic artery (s)

Here my fast sketch ... scaling for balancing has to be done of course  - like both arties should be capable of hitting themselfes... and at least own base to reset cap...

I got a Tank Sniper medal on this map today.  A British AT [choose an integer] and an IS-3 were fighting me across one of the open roads, me in my Superpershing working on my M46 crew.  Those complaining about this map don't recognise it it the map for everyone.

That being said I have had massive success in light tanks on this map.
