A slow [edited], huge, non turreted TD that has no fear factor whatsoever?

Lol, nope:amazed:.

It´s actually quite a good guide. Adressing side scraping and proper hull down behavior and even mentionient the possibility to block shots with your gun in a brawl. I did not expect that, kudos WG.

The only thing I´m not sure about is replacing the gun laying drive with ventilations if you have BIA. Maybe a better player can comment on whether or not it´s worth it.

Really good article, but I'd disagree on the equipment choices. What use is a gun rammer when it just adds 10% to a very slow reload speed? 10% of slow doesn't = fast. According to the super unicoms on the Yank server who specialise in this Yank tank, equipment should be vents, vert stab, egld, everything to minimise aim time so you can position below a ridge, move up hull-down, aim, fire, and reverse back into cover asap to minimse the chance of enemy zeroing in on your cupola, roof, or cheeks. And what does it matter if you have a fractionally slower reload by not having a rammer, when you're meant to be reloading behind the ridge and so safe anyway.

Also, the T34 has thin roof armour (I think 40mm), so it's not just the cupola that's a problem, anything with a 122mm can over-match it's roof, negates atuo-bounce no matter how slight the angle of impact. Good tank though, and good guide :-)

And the crew skills - situational awareness for the Commander, on a base 360m view range at tier 8? Just no. Bia's, sixth sense, repair, mentor much better choices (in that order, & mentor cuz it's also a crew trainer and has a 6 man crew).

Edit, and it's a much more consistent credit earner & performer than JagdT88 cuz it's not as situational, works well on more maps than JT88 does.

Edit again, corrected a negrep above only for it to reappear, and now I've got one. Go on be brave, explain why, I'd love to know.

Edit - thnx for correcting :-) I don't mind people disagreeing but I'd like to know why, in case they have a good argument that might change my mind.

Going from 15 to around 13,5 seconds isn't a minor change, it's a huge impact to your damage per minute and can make a BIG difference. With good crew, BIA, rammer and vents you go from 1600 DPM to 1936 DPM! (15 second reload to 12.38 second reload).

The aimtime sucks but the gun bloom is relatively ... OK when you have vents+bia+vstab, hence my personal choice for rammer too.

Personally though I never used sixth sense on it. Didn't care much as I just go by the simple rule "I am always spotted". That may just be due to my way of playing though.

The JgTiger88 has some dedicated fans, I'm one of them, as the thing seems to have a printing press in the engine compartment for making credits and firing them out the exhaust! The pain it can unleash on a chokepoint is hard to match up to given its rate of fire and the impenetrable upper-casement should be all the enemy see if you're doing it right. It has enough crew slots to train the entire crew of every other German TD and in some cases a drew and a half I believe that, as a credit making, crew training tier 8 prem it's hard to beat.

The T34 I have not played so I can't claim expertise but obviously it has a turret, so it's automatically more versatile than the JgT88. The Alpha on the gun and the pen are pretty scary too and it's mobile enough to  get where it needs to go on time. The turret armour is the standard American HT Bunker style of come-have-a-go-if-you-think-you're-hard-enough but it has weakpoints.

Personally I'd take my JgT88 into a head on fight with a T34 anyday, but if he's hulldown i'd better do the same. The JgT is better at what it does and the T34 is more versatile. Take you pick on preference, I'm getting my JgTiger.

The problem with people who negrep people for having a different opinion is that they often don´t bother posting anything. Also makes me look like a douche because I quoted Belizarius in disagreement.

Nice insight on the Equipment btw. thx for sharing. Though I still kinda hold on to the rammer because it helps in a brawl. And although the T34 isn´t made for brawling it kinda happens (to me at least), especially on city maps.

Worst tier 8 premium tank. Every update make t 34 slow, Aiming Time ~ 6 s , blind and cant hit nothing. I have t 34 from begging , before make him premium tank, and last 3 update it`s imposible to play with t34

For the majority of players the T34 is a good premium tank. Much as many of them don't seem able to comprehend this fact, this game isn't all about the top 10% of players, their play-style or their platooning habits. They have their FCM, what's the problem?

The T34 does what it's meant to - it's a reliable (although not stella) performer that's fairly straightforward to use & do ok in, it's consistent in making very good credits, it's excellent for training crews.

Okay, they want to sell the thing, but they are doing it in a really cool way!

and with over 600 games in the T34 i can say that it is an awesome tank to play!

You nerfed the credit making ability a few patches ago. That was the last time I purchase any tier 8. [edited].

It was great before wargaming introduced physics and beast as tier 9 heavy tank, now for me? its just average. Still better than Supper Pershing.

But i have some questions:

Why enemies in this video driving so crazy like they never do in real battles? Mediums ramming heavy tank? Using only normal shells? And Type 59 fighting with T34 head on instead of flanking? I mean why there no info about downside of tank too, because it cost not 5 euros..., if you investing your money in to Tier 8 premium tank you have to know, right?

In this video looks like T34 so damn good that its almost indestructible.

@great_kahn - yeah its so much harder to earn 150.000 credits per battle... much better options with fast reloading tanks like jag 8x8 or FCM (still FCM lost so much aiming time too... why they doing this)

T34 was the most destructive T9 tank in the game. WG decided to change it and leave it as a T8 premium tank to the owners.

After this WG makes the tank a little more sluggish with every single patch. Obviously this is a "gift" that they regret hardly :(

When i stop to aim the aim circle won't start shrinking for at least 2 seconds. For me the tank is almost unusable even with 6 additional skills per crew member and Coca Cola.

From a long period i play it only to take a daily experience bonus.

I have the vert/GLD/vents.

If I had BIA I would consider rammer, never tried Cola, 1st aid, repair, fire ex. What would you swap out for Cola?

Nice video. After watching it i played two games and yes, T34 is still crap. Dat aim time, like playing 183 but 183 is fun and kind of fast.

What are you smoking because apparently that is strong stuff.....

T-34 is pretty much one of the best T8 tanks to have because it has a gun that does not care what tier it's matched up in. 248 penetration and 400 alpha are a very good combo.

It's slightly more mobile than the Lowe, has very good gun depression and relatively strong turret armour, especially at range.

Stay at medium to long range in T10 battles and close to medium in T8 battles.

My stats in this thing:

T34 - 249 battles - 61% win ratio - 2.444 average wn8

Lowe - 794 battles - 54% win ratio - 2.922 average wn8        ---Played this one last ever since the T34 went from regular to premium tank.

Cobra 6

Before I get recently '8,8 cm Pak 43 Jagdtiger', I thought T34 is the best money maker, and now, I am 100 % sure, that Jag is much better farmer and much funnier to play. It is also showed by statistics, that Ja is better farmer: http://www.vbaddict....reditsn&server=

Usually T34 has MM against Tier X and it is NOT fun any more. I'm tired of that. Top Tiers red and orange noobs, which die in first minutes. You can't win the game.

Jag has special MM and more often it has MM against Tier IX. Also ammo is very cheap. The only noob problem, that you need to know, how to play it and you must be aggressive with it (no hiding in bushes). Hide lower plate and you are the king. Track enemy and kill with 4.45 secs reload time. Gun is also very accurate comparing to T34. T34 has very, very inaccurate gun and aiming speed is very slow.

Need to keep in mind, that prem tank is used for crew training, as well. No need to buy American T34, when you plan to play with Germans like E100, WT Auf E100 or JgPz e100.
