I have tried it out.   And I think.... its game breaking and should be banned.  Especially with AP on the 261....

Bloody good mod though!

Stop smoking then, start vaping and you won't be worried about dropping fag ash on yourself :P

Cheaper and you'll stave off one of the worst ways to go.....lung cancer.

Anyway, back to this mod. Not looking forward to this weekend if this mod gets a little publicity.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it by far already has (through FTR and various forum posts).

I'm suprised you missed it to be honost (since you're rather active on the forum).

This ^^

OK so I am no arty "expert" with just 1300 out of 29000 games being from the world of the devil clicker but I could not agree more.

Some time ago I did plenty of research to see how to get the most out of arty. Watched vids and read all the advice mainly for the reason that I wanted to avoid being the target so IF I knew exactly how it worked it helped me avoid getting walloped. I think my research helped and I played arty a little on the back of that, but i didnt really like it and preferred to play  "proper tanks".

On the basis that its won awards and there has been a significant if sort of quiet buzz about this mod I decided to download and give it a go. I am not a big mod fan boy and use XVM in vanilla mode and use a few garage enhancements but use no other changes or tweaks from what is in the WOT box. So I installed it on top of my regular install and it slotted in perfectly and when I first used arty my thought was WOW.

The reviewer in the vid the OP posted despite having a heavily modded install seemed nonplussed about the mod. After playing I am amazed that this mod is even allowed rather than it being a mod that "doesnt add anything new" as the reviewer seems to thing. It changes the mind set needed to play arty from one of top down viewing visualising the game in a different way having to understand shell flight and the topography of the map to one of arty behaving almost like an inaccurate but massive hitting TD.

Yes its a great mod but after playing I see why there are more and more arty in game every week.

I had multiple people come into ts yesterday and be like ''I found the most OP mod ever'' and other words to that effect basically saying they found this awesome mod that makes them feel dirty using it and ofcourse each incident was the arty mod.

Tried it myself to see what all the hubub was about and although it does not make a huge difference on high angle arty like the FV304 it makes a massive difference on low angle arty they basically become indirect fire tank destroyers it is so easy to lead targets even really fast ones when you can see your shell trajectory and velocity from that angle it also makes hill shots and city shots much much easier not to mention being able to target the engine bay on certain tanks while being able to see (because of the angle) and make sure the shell does not hit the turret instead.

you know how it goes, if you cant beat them, join them.

im trying out this mod and so far i rate is as : breaking the broken mechinic twice over"

arty is unballanced as is, now with this mod its even worse, WAY worse, so only thing we can do is play the hell out of it to get WGs attention (about year and half from now...) to get second round of "nerf the arty"

Its not that arty hit your team-mates and then you push forward and then get shat on for it (although thats getting punished for aggression) its the fact that a t92 can shoot an is-7 in the turret with ap, pen and do full damage.

It's so funny arty haters spread the rumors to make players use it so they have more to whine about. First you say it's a noob playstaly because you can't shoot directly just aim in the general direction then miss or hit. Now they have a more direct approach so their playstlye is more like a tank still complaints.

Looks pretty gamebreaking. And since it massively changes the gamecontent, it's just another cheatmod-candidate for a ban.

But actually, I really like the idea and would not mind when this would become the standard arty aim. That way you can't look behind cover at least.

because part of "ballance" of that class was that they got satelite view but not direct fire view.

now they have both

At first it wasn't much help. But that's because it was new. After about the 5th game, once you figure it out, it's really OP if you're even semi-good with arty. Hitting medium to close range tanks closing in on you is soooooo easy. You'll never need the traditional TD mode in an arty again.

I tried it, removed after 1 battle. While on a hand it gives a great feature (allowing you to aim correctly on a enemy instead of the top) on the other hand I dislike the way it works. It feels bugged, making it harder to follow a moving target (and for some reason once entering that mode I wasn't able to go back in normal mode, it was only switching between strategic and BS -.-)

With some rework and an OFFICIAL ADDITION to the game it would be quite great. Making the artillery a more enjoyable class, even if sadly people don't really seem to understand it...
