Hi there.

I am not much of a community person, so i don't write that often in forums.

What i hate most about wot is the level of hatred there is among the players.

It is simply rediculous to have to listen to all that "[edited]noob" or "you mom sucks well" crap.

There is a limit to what people should have to listen to and wargaming doesn't give a [edited]about it.

Coming back to my topic, i think we need wargaming to take things a little bit more serious with doing something about the 24/7 insult culture in wot. I refuse to simply ignore the fools who insult, they got no right to play wot.

So, it maybe strange from me to say cause i still got 13k gold (will trade it for free xp when special comes in a few days) + 20 day of prem acc, but i will boycott wargaming by not spending rl money for gold or prem time or anything else, until they fix that disinterest about the insults in wot.

Am i the only one who's sick and tired of the [edited]raw customs in wot chat ?

No you are not the only one, but sadly this is just online gaming for you. Pretty much every single game I have played that has online features will always contain arseholes. Not really anything you can do about.

What special are you on about, if you mean the fake xmas ones leaked by WG to ftr about 35 xp per gold instead of the usual 25 then you might be holding on to that gold for a bit longer...

What do you mean, look there, from 9-13 january, if its fake than WG might get some real problems with its community, because many players bought gold because of this event.

Good luck with that. The Internet will always be cruel, as much as any public ground is.

Yes, that is why i thought, some like-minded people could do it together.

Maybe i should come back with that proposal once my prem acc and gold have run out cause as i stated i still got something.

I realize internet anonymity is perfect for trolls who can't do anything but insult others but in wot i think the problem is extreme.

It is very rare to find a random match where there is not 1 insult.

But you're right i must develop a thicker skin against insults.

However, it is hurtful when u think 1 moment u talk fun and then suddenly the conversation takes a turn when 1 person irrationally defends his buddy in squad, though maybe personally he isn't of his opinion.

Wargaming could add an automatic chat philter which would also give chat bans but actually, they prefer to hide the problem rather than solving it by giving you the option of disabling the chat.

Hmmm, i find, alot of times, it's not what words are used but how theyre used.

Probably the worst word is "noob".

Everybody throws it around and, in 80% of the cases its true.

But....ppl know they're noobs.

And guys who tanked their guts out and are than maybe the last ones alive get insulted cause they maybe screw up decapping with 1 lucky not hit shot or whatever.

That sucks the most - the unfounded or, sometimes true but obvious insults.

When u call a noob a noob u should get banned.

Cause the noob knows he's a noob right ?

What good does it do if you call him a noob ? Nothing !

Want to know how people got this way:

1. Started with an a*hole who got mad at you or a teamate in-game. (And you where probably to "noob" to even know he could be reported. So nothing happens.

2. You need money and the matchmaking in World of Tanks is so horrible you get into matches and you lose 90% of the matches you get (Which happens alot in WoT!)

3. After loosing for so long, you eventually start to "Rage", developing mad words at the enemy.

4. After a while you will rage at most players.. (Can be solved.)

That's my stuff for now.

How do i know this? Because ive been there.

People take on a different persona when they think they are anonymous. People rant and rage in cars, its not how they are in company. Some people just let off steam with the frustration that this game produces. Its very competitive after all.

Dude, this is Free to play online game and players are anonymous here. So what we should expect ? Yeah... exactly, but it's still better than LoL or Dota community.

Personally i always play solo games and in the end of matches when there is only 2-4 tanks left some proper communication can be vital, its simply not enough with the map pinging seeing that they are to say the least easy to misinterpret. Now i know that people will say that it doesn't matter because they probably don't speak english any way but in my experience most do at least understand it to some degree.

Now it is soooo easy to put a chat filter into the game that would block most of the rage/insult, people will come up with another way of spelling those insult but just update the list now and then so it makes it harder and harder to insult people. I have turned it off a couple times but i always turned it on again, probably because i play solo. To say its the interwebz don't be such a wuss is just wrong and ignorant, first off it is not the interwebz its a game. Secondly its a game played by people of all ages and beliefs, this is the problem with the EU server that we are such a multicultural bunch and therefore something that is easy to shake off for some people may be a huge insults to others.

Just be nice to each other, #why u heff to be mad, its only a game#

And how would you like WG to deal with this problem? Make a chat filter that can filter every insult know to man? And lets not forget we will need this filter in atleast 5-6 language for the EU servers alone.

Dude just turn off chat and play some tanks.

there are mods that allow chat filtering (Aslains mod pack has one in it as do others)...  recommend putting one in as it cuts the chatt clutter right down to more essential stuff. It tends to filter the inane posts of the mentally deficient who descend into torrents of bile posts instead of articulating helpful ideas that can actually assists their team to win.
