no armor? may i point out that if you angle your armor it becomes up to 150mm affective thickness, that's not bad for a tier 5.

no speed? 15 hp/ton, this thing is faster uphill than the panther and accelerates faster than an IS

bad gun? calculate 19 x 110 (who plays the T14 without a rammer?), it's over 2000 dpm. 92 mm pen is also enough to pen the side of all tanks you face, except for the KV-3

bad turning? Yes, it turns like a beached whale but it's workable

BTW, do you know what happens when 50 tons, moving at 33 km/h hits a tier 7 american medium?  :Smile-izmena:

I bought that tank yesterday and I must say, that it performs well, even in higher tier battles. It can take some beating and dish ok dmg. While KVs pose threat to it, you can outmanouver them (yup, with it's low traverse speed) or engage in pick-a-boo type of fights thanks to good acceleration. Note that having same armor values on sides and rear as on front, it is less vulnerable to attacks from flanks- saved my skin couple of times in city areas where i was fighting another heavy ahead and was attacked by med from rear- had enough time to hide myself from heavy's gun and focus on med.

Today I was mucking about in my Marder II for a bit of a laugh. The map was Karelia and the opposing team had a PzIV as top tank, we had a T14. A good tanker would know that in this case the T14 should clear about half the enemy team (mostly T46, Pz38, and some other low tier fodder) without any trouble, if played aggressively and mobile.

I decided to go left flank when most of our inexperienced team dashed through the middle. I expected the T14 to go right with the few little 'uns that were clearly waiting to follow him.

In my Marder I took out three opponents before I noticed that our right flank was wide open, scanning the mini-map I noticed the T14 driver sitting in our base. Sniping.

If you were that T14 driver can I beg you, on my knees if I have to, to learn how to play. Please...

This is just theory. The reality is different. 70+ mm armor, shot rebounds... :D

Can anyone tell me why the gun doesn't seem to be able to penetrate a KV, even through the sides in a 90° angle? All i got are 0% hits all the time. Its basically the same gun as the upgraded M3 Lee gun - just with a bit worse accuracy. Strangely, i never had a problem penetrating a KV with my Lee, not even with the stock gun. The KV armor is 75mm on front and sides and the guns penetration is 92. Should be absolutely enough.

A bit strange it appears.. Bug?

0% crits happen often these days... you are probably hitting the tracks, or something like that.

Besides the KV is the most over powered tank in the game, I bounced 4 times in a row on its front with my Löwe which has 234 average pen. value... so no comment.

Well i wouldn't speak of it if it would appear only sporadically. I can honestly shoot a KV, hit 5-6 times and always the same.. in every game. As i said this shouldn't be happening since the penetration of the gun is enough to go through with ease. Mysterious

Thinking of buying this tank could I get some feedback on the new MM scheme it has been given?  what's the money making like? compared to Kv, Stug etc.

Some replays would be great.

Thanks

Its really good if you know how to play with it. It has low accuracy, damage and penetrating gun but it can easily kill tier 4-5 tanks. You can even kill KV's with it tho KV-3 is something you should keep away from as you can't even penetrate hes rear armor :D. MM is great! Tier 6 is max unless some freak of an accident happens. With a good game you can get 1000+ xp and over 30k credits + ammo is dirt cheap and repair costs don't go beyond 3000. So average I earn ~20k profit every game. Its Impossible to loose money with it.

Since 7.2 I've yet to face anything above my tier. Same with Churchill.

EDIT: Just got my Ace Tanker medal in the T14. I love this tank! :Smile-playing:

The T-14 was always a good tank, even though a little bit underpowered against Tier 7 tanks (but which Tier 5 besides the KV-2 isn't? :) )....

Now its "win on tracks".... really, you are guaranteed a good match and almost always can make a big impact on the game if you know what you are doing. Worst MM since 7.2 was Tier 6 max battle against KV-3, KV3601 and M18.
In the end my T-14 only had to do battle against a VK3601, and as a Tag team with our E2, we took care of him more or less easely (of course I had to circle him as a T-14 bounces the frontal armour of a VK3601 (yeah yeah weak spots, but aiming for them would have brought me 88 cal death in the face :) ))

65% winrate and rising.... and since the patch, winrate was around 80-90% in 10+ games... I'm sure there are more competent T-14 drivers out there, but even for the average driver like me, this tank brings in a good steady stream of silver and exp thanks to good matches and regular wins. Of course the cred factor is not much higher than KV-2, Pz IV and others, but you also don't get less, and you will have much more fun earning money thanks to the good MM, and the pretty good combination of attributes on this tank (best played very aggressively)...

I'm just a bit worried about the turret. Even now, when you almost only face matches where you're the top tier my turret (the only really armored part of the tank) was turned into a swiss cheese in the last game. I carefully looked that only my turret is visible but when even that one can get so easily penetrated, you must consider that this tank is despite to its classification "heavy" a driving glass cannon. Barely armor and not even a good cannon at all. The few plus are, that it fires somewhat fast and that the health of this tank are nice but penetration & accuracy is bad and damage only mediocre.

Please keep that in mind ;) In my opinion, this tanks cannon could use a slight penetration buff to make it a bit more fun to play but lets wait how things look, when theres no KV2 anymore to face in tier V. Things will possible be a bit more even

Both KV-1 and KV-2 will still be in tier V, but KV-1 will be slightly faster and more agile. I don't know if KV-2 will be nerfed compared to how it is now.

I heard they plan to put KV2 into Tier VI for a very long time now. Wouldnt be much of a problem for the KV2 in my opinion anway to handle himself in tier VI even without a buff.

T14 gamplay vid, nice little game on Lakeville. I'm still learning how to use the tank, so I make a cpl of mistakes, but it was a nice endgame with me versus a KV

With all respect, this was NOT a KV  :D

Try one with the 107 gun, that is the KV you will encounter more often.

No, really? Thanks for the heads up, the things you learn on this forum  <_<

So he had the smaller turret- same armour and faster traverse but smaller gun. Bigger turret would've meant more powerful gun but fires twice as slow. So who knows what may have happened.
