I didn't know so many Americans were at Tripoli, you would almost think that Grants and Honeys should be benefiting...

And once again we celebrate victory over axis...

I mean, not that it's bad or anything, but in my opinion Axis forces should receive some small glorification too because their tactics and machinery were pretty darn impressive during WW2. Just give 'em some historical credit, not only discounts/in-game bonuses.

<_<

We had pretty much retired the Crusader and Matilda by the time we hit Tripoli. The Desert rats where mostly equipped with the M4 and a few Grants.

We just got the bloody Grant and lend lease M4's and still they don't put them in the special celebrating the battles they actualy fought in!

To be fair, last year WOT's did have a similar big weekend event focused on the Battle of Kasserine Pass, which was 95% a German victory and that event & write up did pay due respect to their prowess. It's obviously a difficult situation though, cuz while I wouldn't suggest the Wehrmacht were the bad guys, they were certainly fighting for the bad guys who also happened to be the aggressors & occupiers - when they were beaten people were liberated. It must be challenging for WG to separate it all out, to give the German army the credit much of it deserves without also giving credit to the regime that they fought for that deserves none.

This is a great special, it's good that WG are keeping in touch with the games WW2 element.

WG made a mistake again. In this month , this happened:

Block Quote

Rommel begins a surprising counter-offensive at El Agheila; his troops, with new reinforcements and tanks, capture Agedabia, then push north to Beda Fomm.

WGEU , edit the title of your special, you `re drunk again :trollface:

WG...guys are you forgetting that there is now a 'lend-lease' section with in the British tech line..surely the special should be British & German only,  the US weren't involved, & Mk1 Churchill's were never sent to North Africa the first ones there were Mk 3's, 6 to be precise.

And that is the very reason I don't see Russia as part of the Allies, but just a distraction, considering what Stalin did (yes everyone did bad things), but Russia occupied Poland while the Germans came from the other side, not even to mention East Germany, yet they are celebrated.

yes Libya basically was invaded by Italy for more than 30 years and we still use too many broken words originally Italian:

marsha = car gear stick

roshen = window

kashic = spoon

marchabaidy = street sides

malgi = the large water cup

tasa = water cup

these are some of the words as we say them

and buildings, old documents, pictures and a lot more
