Hey! It seems I need some help with this mission.

Up until now, I've found the Chaffee to be the only light tank I actually enjoy, so I've thought I can do the light missions in it. Currently it has all modules elited, 100% crew, with all on 72% camo (will switch to 6th sense at 100), vehicle camo and camo net, vents and optics. Usually I like to run it with vents, optics and rammer/vstab, and play like a harrasser, which despite my newbness in the matter of light tanks, yields positive results.

 

However, the LT-10 mission, the ghost, where I'm supposed to do 1k spotting dmg, seems impossible. I tried everything, binos/optics, camo net, and camp a forward bush, no movement, no shooting, still I can't seem to do it, they see me from a mile. Hell, it would have been easier if I should make that 1k dmg. Even the last mission seems like a piece of cake compared to this one, had games where i've spotted 4k with relative ease, or let me say without wanting to smash my pc with a dull-bladed axe.

 

So fellow tankers, am I missing something? Should I try another vehicle?

The gods don't favour the Chaffee, I had this in one of the td missions, couldn't do it in a su-152 switched to a A2 and nailed it first time. So switch out to another LT and you will find it will fall in to place

Chaffee can do this in almost any battle, in any map - I think you need to train "passive scouting" and "Keep my finger off the tricker"  

 

How do you plan to do mission LT-15 with 5.000 assisting dmg?

On topic, like I said, I wasn't shooting, and know how to camp a bush, waiting to spot the enemies first, then keep spotting them while my allies hit them, who, without me, would not see them. My problem is with camo, or viewrange. For example I camp a very dense bush, with binos and net activated, not moving, not shooting. All of a sudden the distant enemy puts a shell in me. In this case I wonder how I've got spotted?? Normally a light who is bushcamping, with binos and net, would see a scout chasing with 60km along an open field before they are spotted first, right?

 

Edit: and that distant enemy was an is-3 300 something-ish metres away, he gets ruled out, I was in the bush long before he showed up, not moving, not knocking down trees.

So my question is, is it's camo rating fucked up? Have all members in camo at 72%.

First: How can you have done the mission LT-15 already? I had to do them in numeric order, for the StugIV - In missions for the T28, I can chose to do them at random, execpt for the last mission number 15: This is only unlocked when the rest is done.

 

but for LT-10: Normally people tend to try to hit the obvious spots for camping, if they are experienced. And please try to get the 6.th sense . This will aid you,

I mean I've checked my stats and did 4k spotting before.

 

Blindshot is a possibility, but this happened more than once or twice.

Still need some crew xp till I can train sixth sense, miss it alot in these moments.

I'm stuck on LT3. I can't get a map and team setup, were this is possible, it's so frustrating. Chaffee seems not the best tank to do those light missions. They are so well damn cut to autoloader lights... PLUS light tanks are by far not my favorites. They could really use more hitpoints. This would give you a bit of a chance in a higher game. I mean what does speak against it? They all have literally no armor at all, so they always take the big punch.

i have binos, net and rammer, but no 100% crew yet, due to the fact how horrible the stuart was...i was more then happy to abandon this piece of junk, utterly useless in every freakin way.

Managed it without trying in Luchs, and if Luchs can do it Chaffee should more easily. As VR says ... Binos, a nice bush and don't scratch an itchy trigger finger.

why u have camonet on light tank put binocs and optics....... u will spot on maximum range or downrate the camo of enemys...... dont use camonet if you dont snip support...... if you want you can ad me in game and i will show you some places and how to avoid enemy light tanks..... i played in old chaffe about 1.1k bt and alot of other lights so i can tell you everything ingame name 00mihec00 click me if you want (00 zero-zero)

Who has camo ? It's pointless.  You dou know that old Chaffee is now T37 and this new one is oversized M5 stuart with a pistol.

But it works still - And you need to be invisible. therefore: All the camo you can get out of equipment, skills and perks = Better chances for success - And the speed is ok, as it accelerates fast enough.

Chaffee is a little bit worse than the VK16.02 in camouflage rating.

Not sure why though.

A lot worse then ELC AMX (but compensates with better viewrange)

You require a camouflage net and external camo to be able to finish this mission in the first place

could be blind fire. good players who are spotted will often put fire into known passive bush locations. ive had kills and damage from this many times. use xvm.. see whos on the opposing team and make allowances.

I got LT10 in my Chaffee with under 20 missions in it, been trying and failing in the Luchs, Lepoard and Covenantor for ages, get the Chaffee, for it and bingo

 

My crew were at around 40% camo, except the Commander who is on 6th sense as I want that more than good camo.

 

The tank has paint, binoculars, rammer and vents, I passed on the extra 35k silver as I'd rather be able to harass if the opportunity presents itself and I don't go out to complete missions, just to play the tank that sounds like fun at the time
