This time we are taking a look at the technical details of this interesting vehicle, as well as taking it for a spin across the British countryside – and yes, we were stopped by the police!

"For Part I, please see our previous article." returns a 404

The auto-loader is far less complicated than I anticipated, I was expecting it to feed directly into the breech.

Was it still usable when the tank was moving?

T7 car should be legal to drive on the street as it is a car not a tank.

The link worked when the article was first published. I have passed it to our content team, will be fixed in matter of moments.

Thanks for reporting this.

As for your question: both gun and auto-loader were functional on the move.

So not really a fully AUTOMATIC loading system then if the commander has to crank the magazine around to access another shell ?

All you would need to do is take out the commander and the AMX cant fire

I don't think anyone of note ever said it was fully automatic. And with a crew of three, you have far fewer people to take over other positions, so taking out any member was a much bigger hit than on some other tanks...

If the top of the turret moves with the recoil of the gun, doesn't the commander get hit in the head if he's not careful?

The best bit for me was seeing the tank drive down the public road and past both my local pub and my own house!!!!!

Just watched this video... so a bit late commenting. But really, really interesting. Thanks for posting the video. Very nice of the owner to demonstrate it.
