Currently approaching my third gun mark. I run vents/gld/binos.

Yes, this tank suffers against tier 7s perhaps but be honest, which tier 5 doesn't? The mobility is good, the gun can permatrack any opponent in awkward positions and doesn't rely on gold too much, the armour slopes can pull off some troll bounces.

I'm at 89% currently and I run GLD, Vents and Optics.

No need for Rammer with that crazy 57mm reload speed no. And yeah I've Bounced a Tiger 1s shell :B

I must be doing something horribly wrong, cause i can´t pen anything in this gun. I´m using the zis-4.
I was just shooting at an Amx ELC,and i couldnt even pen it,no matter where i shot it. Could only track it ;s

Just my 5th game in this tank, but they we´re all bad.

You have to treat the gun a little like an autoloader.

Let the first shot aim fully, then fire every 2.5s or so (2s to reload, 0.5s will probably be needed to fully aim again).

But for the first shot, you have a french gun on your hands, can't really snapshot.

If you are below 50m, auto-aim, and just keep the fire button pressed. :)

Then you will see something really broken, t8 medium dpm at t5, with pen that is somewhat good even for t6.

And if that's not wrong enough, almost 190mm of pen with gold.

PS: If you plan to play the T-34 for a while, i have a few suggestions :

1 - play it now while top of the tree is going on, 50% bonus to crew xp for every game

2 - once you get the crew to 100%, reset all skills/perks with creds for camo, since those skills/perks won't help you that much

3 - at low tiers, vision is king, so try to stack up as much vision as possible, while buffing your camo as much as possible

4 - you get more xp by shooting up the tiers, so if possible, and if there is a choice, shoot the highest tiered vehicles on the field, if there is a choice

5 - there are certain early positions one can take in games, you should learn them by watching a good streamer; the T-34 is unique in that it combined good damage with good all around other capabilities .... it prepares you very well for the higher tiers.

PPS: 2 links i downloaded myself (i just got the Revalorise and i wanted to see how he plays it) :

Mainreason i´m playing it is the top of the tree. I don´t want to rush, but the further i get the cheaper i get the tanks for now, and it´s nice for crew training.

But i probably keep the T- 34, cause i really like it now :p

I´ve been watching Skill4ltu daily now, it´s fun to watch. And you learn alot from watching him.

T-34 is good for missions later on too, very easy to get top XP, top damage on it.

And once you understand it well and get 60-70% camo, the tank will deliver 2k damage games with regularity.

It is about the best T5 medium - unless you are a derp fan, when the M4 or PzIV will be better for you.

After 400 games mine is at 88% of 3rd MOE and 54% WR overall (which is not bad as it was my first T5 back when I didn't know how to play properly).  It's original crew moved up to the Obj 140 (3.75 skills) so the 34 has its second crew in which is nearing 2 skills.  I'm running rammer, vents and optics.   Hardly ever need premium rounds.

From someone who 3 marked it last night I'll say:

Use gold, 194 pen is bull$hit for a T5. You can kill Tigers, IS and T29s from the front as long as you aim for weak spots.

The key is to get into a good vantage point where you can full aim then bring the hammer down with your DPM. If unharassed you can melt things you've got no right to as a T5.

Finally it's more of a general Medium tank thing but don't fight anything face to face unless you are 100% sure you can beat them without losing much HP or the trade is worthwhile.
