hi chaps,

i've always struggled with this little scout, compared to Chaffee (which i have recently performed much better in) it obviously requires a slightly different method of gameplay.

i'm asking for your input on crew & equipment skills along with gun recommendations.

current skills....

usually run with rammer, camo net, binos, 100 octane gas & 10.5cm.

current stats....

what am i doing wrong guys? obviously i need to cause more damage, but compared to chaffee i just cannot make it work.

:)

Rammer, Vents, Optics

First aid, repair, fire extinguishers

105 and mostly HE - HE should be your default load.

Spot first, passive on most maps, half court spot on maps like Prokhorovka.

Snipe when you can but move back from bush first.

Search and Destroy/Delay Rush later on.

Some Ace missions

Like Taz said. When you hit your 4th skills consider retrain to put BIA.

If you are willing to use prem consumable, use chocolate (try to buy/stock them on discount) instead of octane.

You will then boost your camo, skills, view range (by 20m), ROF and you will gain 0.03 accuracy and 0.1 aim time.

Tazilons tactics for the VK is excatly what brought me my ace tanker with it.

Dont even bother carrying AP ammo. Just load HE (and some HEAT, just for the case). Stay calm at the start and later on you can go out like an agressive medium tank. Worked very well for me.

Yep you can use HEAT when you are flanking some tanks but HE is better as default.  Switch to HEAT if situation warrants.

Have u though about retarining to Designated Target perk? It's actually quite nice for the targets that you spot yourself, those 2 extra seconds are really useful in my opinion.

Also, I always went for tracks with every shot. Derp is excellent for that and it lets you rack up tracked damage and is annyoing for the enemy for sure.

If money is not a problem, I would retrain for BIA as your third skill and stack it with vents.

My opinion: mount optics asap, you almost max out the view range with it.

Also, consider EGLD, it will let you get the shells flying without too much exposure.

I returned to the real scouting path tonight, after too much running around, tempted by the new fast runaround scouts, blast em in the rear leap from cliffs, unload clips, run hide, run again, pirouette a few times rinse and repeat.

Got back into my VK28.01 and had a blast even on 0 wn8 games where I did 3k spotting damage. Crew now on 3rd skill. My most played tank in the game.:)

Oh, and welcome back Tazilon!
