Hi fellow tank drivers,

I would like to share with you a project I've been hacking on - World of Tanks Statistics - http://wot-stats.appspot.com/

The intention is to make the data available on the WoT website a little more useful. The current feature-set of the app is:

• Aggregates statistics about clans and their players

This is an alpha version, so it's very far from being perfect.

IMO the best place would be in "WoT related portals and tools", but looks like noboby from the public has the rights to post there.

To be honest, this seems rather obsolete when this exists.

However maybe you intend it to do something different in the future?

That's a neat app. However, it does not cache anything and floods WoT's server with 100 requests in parallel for each clan, not very nice.

Both apps operate in completely different environments, mine is web-based and is indexed by google but nobody will search for clan stats anyways. Also it has more focus on "realtime" tracking of landing activities, providing a status page and a history log of the events. Some features are shared, some are not, I will certainly borrow the good ones . There is a lot of possible features by aggregating data, they will certainly come in the future.

Looks really great, But why so few countries on the "Landing EU" I cant see Sweden, Suomi, Norway, Denmark etc.

Those are province names, not the countries they're in (also a country can have more then one landing province). Countries themselves are not really relevant on the WoT map, except for patriotic reasons

Yeah, someone can take the data and make a web widget, that shows clan's stats and landing progress. I can add JSONP support. I've added missing public data API links to the clan event and all-players-of-a-clan data (to the about page), so it's exposed to anyone, who is willing to read it.

There wasn't much visible progress on the website, most of the work was to restructure some of the app to prepare for the upcoming Google AppEngine's billing and quota changes, particularly the evil 50k datastore operations limit. Also, I've modified the data model, so statistics would be determined when displayed, not stored pre-calculated, that allows to index more clans and prepare for merging of the world maps. I've added US server to monitored along with the EU one.

One other thing is that the app data is now archived on my PC and clan/player stat changes are tracked (such as exp each, damage dealt for players, member changes for clan, etc), that will be displayed in the future.

The next step is to track Clan War battle events on the world maps.

Oh and if any moderator is willing to, this thread could be moved to "General Creativity", it doesn't exactly fit into "Share your pictures, photos, videos, music, stories related to World of Tanks and warfare." and "WoT related portals and tools" is closed, but it looks like that's the place to be.

Just having the friendly string output on the api helps a lot.

Ive been working on a few, but got lazy after getting clan stats working and stopped, haha.

So having the api will work great once I actually get back into building a widget for it. Been wanting to make my current battle schedule code on my clan site a little more intuitive, and the clan battle events will be perfect.

May I suggest to add 2 sortable fields: "global rating", "total win percentage" into top tanks grid?

Added Global Rating value and Total Win% columns as well as sorting and highlighting for top tanks tables.

Edit: I also think Total Win% is a very bad metric for evaluation of player's capabilities, but it wont hurt to add it

Nothing prevents you from using the public data API.

Also having the source code would only slow down your development, because any single of the app's features can be coded in less than an hour, well fitting your needs.
