Well, you could read all the VK posts below and see? (hint, it's big and fires HE/heat)

Since the L/48 wasn't even funny on a tier 5 medium that has tier 7 max MM, I'd say the 10.5 cm.

I'd use the 10.5 cm on the tier 5 Pz. IV anyway.

There is really no choice to make; 105mm all the way.

Tazilon, what sort of ammo loadout do you use? I load HE as standard and have 5 AP and 5 HEAT as backup. I've found the heat to be unreliable but it did a nice job on a chirchill gc from the front last week. I've only used the ap once (deliberately), amx12t dead, the he would have been good too. Also the he works well at long range, if it hits!

At the moment, I take 35 HE, 5 HEAT, 2 AP.

AP can work well against lightly armored tanks and is very good to use when you are shooting down a wall or car or whatever since it is cheaper than the others.

I use the 7.5 because of the higher pen and better accuracy, often allowing me to play like a medium. I like the versatility. The 10.5 only has 68 pen which is useless in most situations. Sure it is great when it works, but I am somewhat surprised I am the only one who seems to like the 7.5

The 10,5cm has 53 mm pen. (HINT: HE)

You might prefer the 75 mm, but really the only thing you should use is the 105 with HE.

Oneshotting or crippling most artillery, capable of damaging most things frontally and taking out tracks easily.

Ok you can like whatever you like, no question. But you have to question why.

Right. I guess I didn't give it much thought, and for some reason shooting HE's never crossed my mind even though it now looks like the obvious choice. Scouting is a minor side project for me and does not necessarily get the amount of attention that it should. I'll give it a second try. I am very fond of the 7.5 gun though, but I'll examine which one I like more over the next few days.

Also, what do you guys think about Awful Panther once I get there? Is it as bad as people say it is? Should I play through it or should I free EXP over it if it can be done?

Auf.Panther isnt bad as advertised by players. Yes, it is large but its also nimble, fast and has high dpm gun. It doesnt do much dmg per shot but it spits faster than most. Also, the thing is a ramming machine. Basicaly its an anti scout sniper, plays like a medium. Try it .. u might like it, but definately not worth skipping.

Because you severely limit what you can do with the tank by using the 7.5.  The 105 uses HE which has 53 pen, enough to hurt every tank in the game.

Having now tested both guns, I still prefer the 7.5. It is surprisingly good for long shots and tracking, so I dont think its a fair assessment to say that the 7.5 severely limits what the tank can do. The guns are very different and Im not faulting you guys for using the 10.5 but I think they both are viable options.

How in the world have you "tested" both guns in only 13 battles in the VK 28.01?

Ran out of logical arguments so you decided to play the "u suck" card. Typical WOT community. Cant reason so you think having higher winrate than someone whos played for a month makes you right. If you intend to rely on stats, please at least wait until your site is updated. I could always take a screenshot from the WOT client or just copypaste the gun accuracy stats but I dont think people like you deal with logic all too well.
