I live in England and was surprised when in an old recreation yard I found a T-34-85 sitting around the back of the yard hidden behind storage creates. On the side of the turret is the number '301'. I will post further images of the tank below, I put it in a spoiler as its a large image:

While I know this is a T-34-85 I was wondering if anyone would be able to help identify how it got to Somerset in the UK? Anyway I thought you guys might be interested, its not everyday you see a T-34-85 randomly in England.

If you want more images just ask.

That's the problem with drinking and tanking. You end up getting incredibly lost.

The map reading would imply a female crew but the parking doesnt. A bit of a conundrum.

Probably crossed the channel via sea-bed. You know what those Russian tanks are like, driving underwater and sh*t.

On a serious note, what's up with tanks in the UK? I have a friend in Scotland whose mother was randomly propositioned with buying an actual WW2 tank on the side of a motorway.

I know for a fact now its not a replica, I asked the guy at the yard and he confirmed it was a vehicle that saw action but he is not aware of the history of how it got to the UK. He also confirmed it had been renovated in the past massively, with hull repairs, a completely new paint job and more but due to a 'lack of space' had been parked outside and is now 'rotting'. He said he will get the factory number thingy for me when he has time to go inside the vehicle. Although I shouldn't be supprised that there is a t-34-85 there, since they have an Anti aircraft gun and a missile there... (image below - Not my Photo but is from the same place)

People think of Russia as the land of tanks, although secretly, its kind of the UK ;)

The Muckleburgh Collection in Norfolk has a T34-85, but not freshly painted.

Don't you know about russians invading the UK? You must be living under a tank. :P
