Wow that looks sick, though it looks a bit like a mobile artillery unit imo :P

T7 light tank.

This is risky, considering the role tier4 light tanks (dedicated scouts) have (or better, don't have) within the game.

But the idea is really interesting.

LOL, just look how much outdated the designs of Leo and A are compared to the French tank...!

I am going to want one of those, seems like it may just become the ultimate attack scout vehicle.

This is stretching it a bit.

Yes it's a lovely looking tank, and yes it will probably be sweet to drive if you like light tanks but come on, it was in service from 1951 - 1992. That's 6 years after the war ended - as long as the war was.. to the present(ish) day, and buffed along its life with various minor additions and upgrades no doubt.

If the devs are looking for new tank ideas and the WW2 theme is becoming less relevant/essential I've got a few suggestions.

Yeah, No.

Its not getting the 105mm... so there goes half the lifespan there...
WoT does not exclusively live and die in WWII I WISH PEOPLE WOULD BLOODY UNDERSTAND THIS! AND NO MBTs!!!!

The years don't matter. T-34s were used in conflicts in the 1990s. Would you say it's a modern tank?
See it this way if you like it more : the AMX13 program is from 1946, possibly even 1945. Does it feel better?

The gun on AMX13/75 is from the Panther tank
And the AMX-13/90 is from the French navies 90mm gun of WW2.

Most french prototypes are infact...closer to WW2 then other Tier 10 tanks......

Probleme?
NON I THINK NOT

Some precisions:

The 75mm SA50 (mounted on the AMX-13/75, also know as the CN 75-50), as everybody knows, was inspired by the 75mm KwK42 L/70.  :Smile_honoring:
But some differences should be noted, for example the SA50 was 61.5 calibers long.
And curiously it achieved a velocity of 1000 m/s using AP/APC (925 m/s for the KwK42).
Penetration-wise I found this few times ago:

Quote

POT-51P (AP):
MV: 1.000 m/s
Weight: 21 kg
Projectile Weight: 6,4 kg
Penetration: 170 mm/0°, 40 mm/60° at 1.000 m

POT-51A (APC) has the same specs, except 110 mm/0°, 60 mm/60° at 1.000 m

The 90mm F3 of the AMX-13/90 were build reboring the old SA50 barrels and used HEAT and APFDS as anti-tank shells (so no "normal" AP, I'm curious to see how the devs will react to this characteristic).
With HEAT it pierced 320mm @0°.

Maybe the guns will have long aiming times (since no stabilizer) but be incredibly accurate...

It's a medium tank. You know, T-10 is heavy, T-54/T-55 is medium and the PT-76 is the light.

Anyway, do people actually think the never ending "Help! Germany needs post-war tanks!" thing makes sense? It's not like WoT is a sim where single AMX-13's blows platoon of 4 KT's up from 2000m with 4 HEAT rounds. Not to mention German techtree is being supplied by semi-imaginary Third Reich tanks, guns and engines.

T-54 is a medium tank, T-55 is an actual MBT...

Yes the T-54/T-55 is a frankenstien monster of mixed and mashed parts... but its not a full blooded MBT like the Abrams, Leopard I and Merkava....

He i want a mamoeth tank like thoose in C&C
No just kidding but i understand some posters here .
Like said it is Wot and not WoWWIIt  <_<
Some Frenchie Tanks coming here where dev from Panther design
Lol I even have a driving license for the amx 13 no kidding.
The M46 did saw its most action in Korea war .
But perhaps if we can hold out and the maps are going to be bigger and bigger someday we will see the M1 and Leo I -II and T90 on the field .
Wasn't there some spots in the balance ladder for lvl 12 Tanks ?

No those "spots" are options for the match maker when it selects a battle tier to pick tanks that can play in that battle tier... tier 12 i think exludes tier 8 mediums and lower...

I am a fan of ww2 History but I dont mind imaginary tanks or post ww2 tank in WoT as long as it is quite balanced.
I mean the game just needs some new dev every month to make it "interesting", new maps, new tanks.
