Hi
What is the point of buying gold when you can't buy the tank until you have gained all the experience. Plus when I have over 4,000 in experience I can't exchange it. the box just has a T1 box with 11 exp in it. Nothing else is listed? so i can't exchange any to free reasearch.

Cheers Lee

I'm not sure I understand the question correctly, but if you have 4.000 xp on a tank and it does not show up in the window when you click Convert Experience, that's most likely because there are still modules/tanks to research on that tank, i.e. it's not at Elite status yet.

Gold can be used for converting that exp to free exp.

Alsto to buy premium account which gives you 50% more exp and credits for each battle.   :Smile_honoring:

[edit] i understand the question now

[edit] i don't think you can exchange ANY xp until you have elited that vehicle (i haven't played in a week but i'm sure that is the case)

converting xp is only 1 of the uses of gold heres a list

premium ammo
premium account
conversion of xp
premium tanks
more barrack spaces
more garage spaces
gold consumables (the better consumables)
demounting permanent equipment
in future you can buy permanent camo for gold
in future you can buy a camo consumable which increases stealthg  by a percentage
change crew data for gold
retraining to 100%
training new crews to 100%

i think thats it but there could be more i didn't mention

Yes, that's the case. To send XP to free XP you have to have the vehicle Elite, ie everything (not just modules, following vehicle as well) researched.

i am very sure you know this already but you do gain free xp even if you have an elited vewhicle (preventing more normal xp and gives it to crew)

however the gain of free xp is quite small and may take a while to accumulate

So what is the point of buy 25,000 gold if you could still only start with LOL Trackter.

See X534's list up above.

Most important thing to spend Gold on (in my opinion), is a Premium account to get the 50% bonus to xp and credits earned.

But if you don't see a point to buying Gold, just don't buy any :)

Well, you can:
1. buy Premium account,
2. Keep Elite LOLtraktor to fight for XP and convert it to Free XP
3. Buy Premium tanks (though there it is good to buy those which correspond to your tier - IE do not buy, say, Löwe unless you know what you're doing).

You can use Free XP to jump over low tiers, but if you are a beginner, I STRONGLY advise AGAINST it, as going up the ladder (and eliting each tank) will give you a good WoT training. So at first, I'd use Gold to get a month of premium and, maybe, Premium tank, preferably light.

You can also use the gold to bring your LOLtractor crew up to 100%.

B)

And maybe do the same for your MS-1 and T-1 – I’m sure they will appreciate it.

You can also convert it into credits and buy them such things as Improved Ventilation, Camouflage Net, Toolbox or Binoculars. I'd suggest though that you initially buy equipment that doesn't cost anything to de-mount so that when you get more tanks in the garage you can transfer it around.

If you decide on a premium tank then I’d recommend the PzKpfw 38H735 (f) as a starter – it makes reasonable credits and also gets you used to driving a much slower tank.

I would ask back: Why go beyond LOLtractor? WoT does NOT require to get to top tier. WoT can be played in ANY tier, ANY vehicle you like.
Don't expect the higher tanks to be easier to play! You will be disappointed. Tiers 1 and 2 are the fastest and "easiest" tiers to play.

Tanks are categorized by Nation, Type and Tier.
Usually, in order to play with the German, Tank Destroyer at Tier 7, you will first need to play the German, Tank Destroyer at Tier 6.
There are methods of bypassing this "grinding" process, but you will need to spend gold (real money).
