A new map, which players will see in Update 9.7, is devoted to the Allied landing in Normandy in 1944.

The most of the map seems to be open, making it another clicker paradise.

But i cannot mind it not being another corridor either.

In scale 0 out of 10.

I give 7.

Yes.  I've seen Quickybaby and Jingles' previews and it looks a beauty.

I played a few games in training mode in the test server and my first impression is that the map is HUGE. I think that because there is almost no unused space (mountains, sea, etc)

Yes, it is a "kinda" open map but with a lot of places that you can take cover.

It would be nice to see it implemented for Team battles as well.

WoW!

The beach looks easilly defended with a TD and scout.

The rest looks.... awesome! Tactically tanks with gun depression should do well.

Tanks without will need to defend more I think.

I think teamplay will be needed to go from bunker to bunker, as the defender will always get the first shot.

I love it! Cant wait to try it out!

Another good looking map that will run like [edited] because the game is abysmally optimized.... happy days!

I've managed to play it 3 times on the test server, once in a heavy, once in arty and once in a medium. It worked pretty well for all of them, although it felt a bit too open when playing arty as in the game I had in it with arty I struggled to find a safe firing position. I only really played in the top third of the map and didn't go near the beach at all. There was a lot of soft cover for scouts and mediums to advance or spot from, as well as for TD's to lay up an ambush. It felt like WG had turned the clock back to when the game was at it's best. There was plenty of space, soft cover and ridgelines where it was possible to play medium tanks properly. I totally enjoyed it. It is definitely one of the best maps in the game, IMO.

On the down side, when the whiners start rambling on about getting shot by invisible hacker tanks, the devs will remove the soft cover and ruin it like they have with the other maps which had plenty of bushes.

Interesting. On american portal info about this map appeared on 17.03.2015 (or 03.17.2015 as they write it, gods know why). Same map, same pictures... different text. Why? Anybody has an idea?

Or,your PCs' parts must have been taken from a junkyard?

Don't blame WG,for having a crappy PC.

It's not their fault.

Very nice map indeed and very scenic! Make sure you don't make it have too many linear corridors, that does not benefit any game classes a part from mediums.

I can run Battlefield 3 with higher fps on my crap pc, and in Wot its difficult to have a 20fps on some maps (event with most lowest settings)

Game maps are badly optimised - it is WG fault.

So tell the specs of your PC.

What can i judge from words ''on my crap pc''.

My WoT goes fine on a 2.7 GHz PC on max stats.

Of course,it depends from PC to PC,but im just saying.

I also run Assasins Creed IV Black Flag. No problems at all. (Max graph)

(Blue colored text) No,it's not.

The only map which makes me lag,is the Stalingrad.

Tends to give hard freezes and even crashes sometimes.

Im not on my personal pc right now but I think my config is Athlon 64, Geforce 9600GT 512mb, 4GB ram.

Stalingrad is a problematic map, but WG is reworking the other maps constantly and from patch to patch I only see fps going down, together with crashes, lags, constant fps drops.

I fear that this big map will be poorly optimised as usual.
