I'm loving this tank right now!

It's excellent for credit making - I'm making an average profit per match of 55,000CR+!

The only downside for me is the weak ammo rack and the fact that it's so big & poorly armoured that arty players will focus you the whole match (not an exaggeration, a GW Tiger did so a few battles ago...).

It's acceleration is incredible, the gun is fantastic and the gun depression is fabulous (-10deg). The soft stats are generally very good except the track traverse does not feel like 40º due to the bad terrain resistance (therefore why I strongly suggest Off-road driving).

I resisted buying this tank and in defiance I bought the STA1. I snubbed the CDC thinking it was for the glamor boys to run around in and I wanted no part of that.

However due to frustrations with the STA1 I began to give the CDC side glances on the battlefield hoping I would see disasters left right and centre. But this was not the case.

I kept seeing them perform well - speed - a gun that works - unlike the STA1. A couple of evenings ago I gave in to WG and bought the CDC. The STA1 had become terribly]frustrating to

use.

So...I really like the CDC. I don't need to auto load prem ammo - even in tier X matches. I havent he speed to get my self out of trouble - and importantly the CDC does have a fear factor unlike

the STA1. I play it as if it were a light tank (mostly) and that suits me fine as I think that's where I'm best anyway. I'm quite surprised I'm doing reasonably well in it. I did think the tank would only be useful

for above average players but I guess I was wrong. Probably my light tank training..

Equipment

Vents (replace that with Optics when I have BIA

Stabiliser

Rammer

Great tank I would recommend to anyone who can handle light tanks or paper thin meds. :)

Its a great tank.

Best Premium tank i have ever driven.

It takes a bit of skill to make the best use of it but if you are a new player it could be quite hard to get good games.

Its one of the best premium tanks in the game no doubt!

Best regards.

Ill give my opinion as an average player.  I love this tank although I couldn't win a match in my first 15 games so I moved my lefh crew into it and retrained so I have a 100% crew with 6th sense and camo at 50% on others.  I've put rammer, vents and vstab on it and a summer only camo paint job.

Im now getting spotted less (and know when im spotted!) as ive learned I need to work ridges and not just yolo front line positions.  Im often getting as much spotting damage as actual damage so I think im at last starting to help the team in it and im sure the stats in it are going to start improving.

Im yet to load anything other than AP apart from a few HE rounds for cap resets, it earns good money when I play to my ability and it *may* become my favourite tank when my crew skills get better.

Ammo rack issues where a PITA in the first 15 games as I mostly lost it twice a game resulting in a slower reload than a T34, but now im playing a little smarter its becoming less of an issue.

I can only be described as 'retarded' when I use my FCM50t, and that's being generous, I'm certain the CDC is a better tank than that.  I do know these 2 tanks are amongst the hardest to play well but I like a challenge.

I don't have this problem. Everyone complains about it.

I mean, it gets hit usually once every 1-2 matches atleast, can get hit twice every 4-10 matches, but I don't find it to be such a huge problem.

This is my new 'unlucky tank', I just cant seem to win a game in it and  I get a bad team or great enemy team pretty much all of the time.  I am improving, even having top damage in a T10 battle and yet a loss.  Does this tank get any 'special MM' considerations or is it just luck.  Im sitting at less than 40% in it now.

I had a shocking start with 15 losses and no wins, and I have actually improved the stats over the weekend and yet only won 2 out of 7 games.  I really enjoy playing it and its ability to relocate to another spot and its ability to use any slight hill, the gun is great but it just attracts the wrong matchmaking.

Searching for a nice T8 premium medium to grind some credits and train my crews for the medium tanks I play (CDC, STA-2, or P8.8)

I tried this tank yesterday on test server as I also want to grind the AMX 30B when it comes out.

People complain about ammo rack, they probably never played the Leo PTA...

Around 15 games in it yesterday, only 1 or 2 times I had ammorack damage.

In the PTA I get ammorack damage almost every game and 50% of the games it gets hit even twice after repairing it for the first time.

Had pretty good games with 100% crew and started camo as 1st skill, rammer, gld & binocs and it was fun to play, so I'm thinking of buying this one someday :)

Great tank, getting good results.

In fact the only spoiler for me witht he CRDC is the MM is not preferential.

Poll is flawed because 0 premium ammo is needed, unles at Tier X.

I plan on maybe buying this so I just picked the options I'm gonna go for with the tank.

But... why isn't there an option for no gold ammo at all? 1-2 is already too much and honestly, I use it when I'm angry and frustrated at humans in general, not when I play normaly.

So... please give the option of ZERO gold ammo.

Here's a tank I will probably never touch, for some of us the skill ceiling is just too high. :(

That said, I respect those who manage to do well in this thing, surviving till the end of a match with an unarmored rocket is something of a feat in my opinion.

somehow I feel like this has bad DPM even though it's not the case.. might be because of an unfortunate series of losses when a team just dies faster than I can kill stuff.

Tier 8 mediums usually are pretty terrible but this tank feels quite comfortable to drive around in. It's got enough hp/ton to reliably get to an early spotting location, get a couple of shots in and then safely run away, relocate or kite a big stupid heavy tank around a rock.

Currently as equipment I'm running V-stabs, rammer and binocs as I didn't have any french med crews before buying the AMX-30 proto, dropping the binocs later for optics when the crew gets out of the ghetto.

Its extremly frustrating to play , either you will perform very good , or very bad from the games i've played since yesterday in mine. However -

First game for me was 7 kills on 4.5k dmg , and i also did a game this morning on 6k dmg ( Replay listed below ).

So i cant really give it any hard time , it does the job and it pours in credits , but then again you have one of those crapgame where you can oneshotted or cornerd right away.

I'll give it 9/10, with a fun factor of 10. Would i recommend it for everyone ?. No.. Its really hard to do good in , even for a player like me, its not someting you wana start with so to say.

But then again i couldnt care a [edited], so yeah ! buy it before they nerf it !

Always looked like a tempting tank to me. I might need a French medium crew trainer but I already have most premium tanks I want and can manage, and FCM 50t to me seems somewhat similar. Im also hitting Leopards soon and this tank plays very similarly, and with the free EXP being on discount right now, it feels like a better option to spend the gold on that.

Though, in my opinion this is the best of the "cheap" premium tanks and it looks like fun. I already have RU 251 with 80k EXP, so it must make more sense to turn the 6k gold into 210k free EXP, get T9 Leopard and upgrade some modules?

When circumstances allow you to play the CDC to its niche (sniper with good possibilities of escape), it's good fun.

Other than that, you're 1400 hp of profit and xp just waiting to be harvested, and every enemy you'll ever meet knows this.

Nice tank but when you actively have tanks turn their turrets to shoot at you instead of the tank they were shooting at you know its no good. Bought it tried it, dislike it. Gathering dust. For something this "thin" it should have much better camo.

Or just significantly better hull traverse.

It backs too slowly to outpace even very heavy tanks and by the time you've turned the thing around, that heavy hitter is thundering around the corner and busting your engine while eating 700 hp off your health.

I don't like it. But it's not of the tank itself, it's because of the ridiculous map design. Everytime I see all these wannabe experts saying "it's you not the tank, just learn flanking manevures....." I keep asking myself on exactly what percentage of the maps that WG puts out can you actually make a "flanking" maneuver. Maybe like 10 % ?? I don't know and it's not important becase it's not the point of my post. The point of my post is that because of the poor map design, tanks like CDC are absolutely useless, on most maps, the choices you have are like 3 or 4 corridors to go through, rest of the map is just inaccesible garbage. Try to fight in these conditions with a tank like CDC - impossible. You're just dead within seconds. That's why I consider buying this tank one of the worst mistakes I made when playing WOT.

Hello

Got this tank not too long ago, I am a average player thats why I found this game really good.

If you like the CDC play, I think you will like this:

1800 base xp 6.5k dmg +

The more i play it the more i like it.

I am currently running it with coffee because ut is on discount and it so buffs its gun performance.

I basically never shoot gold in it. It is an excellent spotter which really helps with the credit income. And that speed!

If all tanks fail i turn to the CDC. Always fun to play. The only problem i have is that my female batchat crew is missing a fourth member for in the CDC. I am seriously considering making my next female commander a crew member fir the CDC just to have SIA.
