Will this thing ever be on sale again? Looks awesome, and I'd like a crew trainer for my french lights.

Since the logo doesn't have a date AFAIK, they could sell it at the next Grand Finals.

I hate this tank - wasted my money, gold or whatever.. I got it last year.

It's too slow for a scout, it's armour is so poor you are a one hit wonder most of the time and the gun won't pen most tier 9 and 10 tanks at front or side (yes you will be facing tier 9 and 10 tanks all the time). You are better off throwing insults at them in chat.  It's camo value is also surprisingly poor (so you can't even hide reliably)    On the up side it has 8 shots of not penetrating anything....    You can 'not penetrate' eight times in eight seconds.   It's like tapping a tier 10 on the shoulder eight times and saying - kill me with one shot next please.

Don't bother with it.      Don't take my word for it, just look at it's stats - its awful.  Terrible.  Utter crap.

If you love the 13-90 this is absolutely fine as a crew trainer. I think removing two from the autoloader was unnecessary but it is still ok. It is slower than the 13-90 which is a bit of a problem sometimes but it is sufficient. The camo rating is absolutely not a problem with a good crew. You just need to be aware that it is maybe the purest scout in the game - you'll have a lot of bounces even against arty. Nevertheless as I pointed out - if you love your 13-90 it is for you. If not look somewhere else.

13 90 has better HP/t by miles. its what makes it more bearable. 75 and 57F NEED acceleration buff. its not fair bulldog gets 175pen 10 rounds clip with a disgusting HP/t and 72kmh top speed.

I agree the line could do with some WG love. Remember the 12T is probably a bit worse (HP, gun handling etc)than the 13 75 and still meets them Bulldogs etc.

but I've just picked up the 13 57 and a mixed bag so far. Sometimes very good, other times god damn awful. Consistency is my main problem in game play to be fair.

and you most can most camo on it

It's a good enough tank, but it faces the same problem as the 13 75. Crap Pen, It's slow to accelerate, playing up to tier 10's with the bad armour, camo and gun for a "scout" tank isn't an appealing premium tank. I bought it to train my ELC crew, I wouldn't buy it if it wasn't for that and now I've played over 100 games in it, I wouldn't recommend it to play for fun. It needs a buff, anything would be better than nothing.

Agreed. Had a mixed day with it today.

52% WR for the day but WN8 of only a bit over 1000. Which isn't great. Did a fair chunk of spotting at times though and the fact that it doesn't count for s*** bugs me at times.  Consistency is my biggest issue, especially in light tanks where mistakes are punished harder. I'm quite a passive player in light tanks and that can make them very situational.

So there's being patient and there's running out of time in the game to deal damage. Or worse case dropping a b****ck and dying early.

the lack of penetration and alpha can be a nuisance at times. It's not every two minutes you can fully unload your magazine into the rear of an enemy so shots need to picked sometimes.

Had a couple of frustrating moments today, Bounced 5 in a row off a Grille. :amazed: WTF??? and had one bounce while finishing off an SPC  which left him on 20 HP and I had to take and extra shot from him as a result.

As a last note the module damage is a right pain. Gunner always gets it. Engine gets knocked out regularly and the turret too. Had a couple of fires too.

Two issues I have with this tank now I have over 100 games in it.

1) Mobility. So slow to accelerate and sheds speed while turning.

2) Bloom when firing.

having seen Quickybaby's review of this tank I'm shouting foul. I've tried to trade with a bulldog as he does and guess what? It doesn't work. at least one of your shots will bounce or fly off at some daft angle thanks to that bloom after firing. I have a GLD fitted too!

It isn't a very good tank, but it can be fun.

I dont dislike it but it is hard work, really hard work at times and the nature of random battles just doesn't help sometimes.

The positive thing is that it can only be good for my light tank play in general. Plus auto loaders are pretty nice when you get the side of juicy fat tank.

The module damage is frustrating as well as the low mobility when you need it. A buff to engine power or ground resistances would be really nice.

I think patience is the key. You cant force it like you can with say a Batchat or a Bulldog. Had one game today where things just weren't happening, no spotting of any worth, not much damage either. Then the opportunity arose and everything turned out rosy. Found the flank of a M103 and a Jgtig 8.8. Spotting damage and damage a plenty just from engaging those 2 tanks. Add an arty in at clear up time and the game was an ok one.

Still haven't Aced it though. Some people must be doing very well in it somewhere.

Exactly as I was expecting and saw during games. This tank is so funny and OP in hands of people who knows how to scout (for sure not those complaining about low front pen on tier 9/10). Sure need to be careful from start as getting so far first skill and with damaged engine it turns to TD or finisher with rest of the group. Way better then regular AMX line, but that is not surprise to me, because here we talk about WG.

Cannot say I am doing very well in this tank, but I have not really noticed the drawbacks. It is very dependent on team, but do try to follow mediums that know what they are doing while staying well behind them. Once they break through and the target(s) are distracted, you drive as quickly as possible behind the enemy unloading your drum. It shoots so fast that you need to be careful where you are shooting because it's easy to miss. However, if all is done correctly, AMX 13 57 GF can be extremely annoying even to Tier IXs who rarely notice it until they see their HP melt and get multiple module damage.

Most certainly not the best replay around, but here you can see how nasty this little machine can be.

You won't pen lots of tanks frontally, but from the back they are soft. AMX 13 57 reminds me of E-25, albeit with an auto-loader and a turret.

I just took this thing out for a spin for the first time in forever, and results were highly satisfactory if unexpected.

Spoiler

Now it is vastly OP, can clip tier 5 and tier 6 tanks.

And can cripple enemy scouts and paper mediums in 7 seconds (1st shot + 7secs total reloading cicles of 1 sec each).
