Yesterday I played another game(I will refrain from the game's name) and used a Panzer II(killing alot of British soldiers...)

Something about it drew my attention...
It had a Turret Bin attached to the rear of the turret (this can also be seen in the PzIII-Turm Ausf. M and PzIV-Standard Turm)

this looked awesome and would really make the two turret options stand more apart from each other...

I think they should add this turret to WoT, what do you think?

(btw, I found that this type of turret was present on the Ausf. F version of the vehicle...)

When you wrote "turret bin" and saw the picture i thought you found a Pz II turret shaped tarshcan

Yeah and sure it looks cool but let's be honest, do you really need more ammo on the Pz II in WoT? Especially if that costs you a weak-spot of certain death if you turn your turret in any direction other than directly facing your opponent? You'd see alot of exploding Pz II's if they were to implement something like this and it would soon go down in history with the dinosaurs...

Those bins were not used for the storage of ammo.

Okay, my bad. I assumed it was used for ammo storage. (that also eliminates the weakspot issue)

That leaves me with only one argument...the aesthetic one.
personally, I think it LOOKS awesome, don't you agree?
(if you compare the PzIII turrets, the latter(with the bin) is more awesome, right? Same thing with the PzIV...the standard Turm(with the bin) is much cooler)

Yes, it does look appealing.  :)

The top turret might as well have it. It does look cooler with the bin.

I was about to create a new topic about the exact same thing. The box was called "Rommelkiste" (Rommelbox) and was used as a storage bin for tools and other stuff.

It would make the two turrets distinguishable from each other and would make the Panzer II look alot better. I know that low tier tanks are not especially top priority for the devs, but i doubt that it would be much work to implement such a cosmetic change.

"Rommelkiste"...sounds nice. But I think you mean "Junkbox" as a translation (Rommel was the German general in Africa...to avoid confusion...)

And it would even serve a purpose! A logical place for the crew to store the toolbox for repairing the tank...better there then somewhere in between the shells...(ofcourse..purely for the historical accuracy of it all...)

And I doubt that it would take a single dev. more then an afternoon or morning to do...(as a warming-up for working on higher tier tanks)

It was really called "Rommelkiste" (="Rommelbox") by German troops and it did indeed refer to Erwin Rommel ;-)

Sure, why not add it to the little guy, even the TigerP has a Rommelkiste on the second turret, looks kinda cool too. Who knows, maybe it adds a wee bit of armor to the back of the turret. Of course, it would also add a new hitbox and be something you could be damaged on when you don't realize its sitting outside of your covered position.....hmmmmmm.

For those of you who didn't see, I've added a poll so you can quickly tell Wargaming that we, the players, want the turret bin!

Does WG have anything to say about this (old) topic?

It can hardly be a lot of work and I've seen nothing but positive comments on my idea!

It gives the turrets some looking that they are really different. I just sold my Pz II with pain in my heart for a Pz III Ausf. A :(
