i see armored warfare has released a new tank based game . it surprisingly looks very modern and enhanced . what will WOT do from now on ? maybe some awesome discounts? or maybe some crutial game changing updates? lets wait and see. although i do prefer WOT  over any game , just wanto know what will the outcome be for the future knowing that now they have a rival to compete against.maybe its time for the customers to have  a smile on their face.

I have to say it,after playing Armored Warfare I can't stand playing WoT anymore.

My eyes bleed from the WoT graphics and the sound effects are really bad compared to AW.

Other than that it's a copy cat of WoT with modern tanks.

At the moment I prefer AW over WoT any day.

AW is ok, but as said there are modern tanks, even guided missiles (which have already been nerfed). Unfortunately the standard of play is similar to Wot with lemmings, campers and afk's

Hopefully all the whiners will go play that and we will just have people who actually like WoT left playing.

Well, I can dream.

They are different games, but AW is brand new. Typical arty whiner on WOT think arty is better on AW, but wait until people grow some skills in them and they will think twice about it. arty in AW is somewhat like it was at the start of WOT, and we already know it does not work well... so they WILL cry a lot then.

I'll give AW a try too, but i don't think it is going to be that much better. And as far as the graphics go ... i run WOT with full details, and don't find it bad at all. Yet once launched with lower details, yes, my eyes bleed...

Well, you will have to have LoS and keep the target in your aiming reticle until the missile hits. If anything gets between you and your target, you will miss.

AW will never affect wot in a bad way ; every mechanic that recieves positive feedback in AW will be copied by WG and added to wot. all those that get negative feedback will remain where they're made.

AW is a huge test of everything the "community" seems to want (arty MM etc etc) and no matter what happens wot will benefit from it

AW is a copy of WOT, so there is nothing to actually worry about. The same problems as in WoT will be introduced, and both will copy each other's successful features. However WoT has a big community and many people with very advanced accounts they do not want to leave, so even if AW is the best game ever when they finish developing it, most people (especially those with awful PCs who can't run it) will likely stay with WoT.

Not toally true. WOT people clearly will monitor what happens in AW, but some things like the way arty works has already been experimented long ago in WOT.

Precise, fast firing arty is a much worse horror than big splashing arty, but it will only show once players start to really know how to play. It may receive good feedback now, but it is going to take an ugly turn.

Anyway, WOT will clearly benefit from AW experimentations.

Have even played arty in AW?It is completely different to the BS  we have to up with here.Playing arty in AW is total different, you can't just sit in one spot continually shooting at tanks because if you do you will die very very quickly due to the counter battery mechanic. And with the release of the new smoke and illumination rounds coming in EA4 playing arty will be like playing an RTS.

Most of my time playing arty in AW has been playing the counter battery game and it is awesome.

well when arty in AW had positive feedback (the first month maybe?) WG was quited interested; then when the feedback became mixed they suddenly 'decided to work on their own project' after all :)

IMHO as things are looking atm AW is better than WoT in every aspect, well maybe except of the number of tanks it has in game.

Either way the competition is very good for WoT as well. WG will have to invest in some more serious game development too, not just sit on their money.

I would have been all over AW if they had chosen to not implement arty, sadly they did. Even though its supposedly better than WOT's version, I still don't think either game needs a class like it.
