i got my E3 from E4 line, so i have t28 proto unlocked. So to get e4, i only need to grind 2 tanks. is it still fun to play??

Dunno about E4, but T30 is certainly worth getting.

I just love the e4, is a total beast, i ripped a maus and 2x e100 in the same battle without any effort. Insane penetration damage if you know exactly how to make it work!!!

Dont. Its not worth it. Its e100 without armour and less HP.

The old E4 was definately worth it with its 250mm turret armor making borderline OP, often put heavy tanks to shame. A typical hulldown monster, just like the T30 and its kin. And then its armor got nerfed. Maybe among other things, I dont remember.

Anyway! With todays turret armor it gets penned rather easy. Hulldown is no longer as relevant as it used to be to this vehicle. If you get this TD, you want the T30's alpha with improved gun characteristics. You will lose the T30's ability to go hulldown with a strong turret, however. A thing of note is the limited traverse on the turret: 90 degrees to the left, and 90 to the right. Kinda like the T28 Proto.

I have to agree somewhat with ibanezsrb... Even though the E100 is a different tank type, it got pretty much better armor, more HP and deals the damage you want. The E4 might work well enough I guess, but it is definitly the weaker kind of TD you can get, and the E3 is better as it is much harder to hurt.

I personally dislike my T30 as there are more corridor maps now, and the spots where the T30 is superior (hull down hills) it is easily shut down by arty. Every time an arty aims at me, the T30 seems to explode. On the other side, the T30 is the only tank I have got the Pools medal with. It's a love/hate relationship (but with more hate than love I would say).

T30 was my first t10, so may be biased opinion, but even as a t9 td, I loved it.
E4 is fine. Didn't play it when it was "OP" but as right now, I like it. E100 version of E5.

I disagree and I personally found the E4 as huge improvement compared to T30.
T30 gun behaves somewhat trollish. I left with the impression that it is far more inaccurate (more shots going off the target) though E4's gun share the same characteristics.

It's true that turret's armor is weaker (200mm compared to 280mm) and there's a huge weak spot- the commander's hatch, but hull is much more stronger. Add to that the gun's -6/+12 degrees elevation and you'll see that going hull-down isn't a vital option against T10 and T9 tanks. Hull-down tactics don't bring any advantages and it is somehow wrong to deliberately search for these kind of positions.

With proper angling it is absolutely possible to bounce off shots from T10 tanks, especially against less experienced players who don't know that the Turret is weak.

I really hope in the new patch they will buff the e4, if they leave the turret armor as it is fine, 200mm, but at least push up it`s damage again up to 850 instead of 750 and is a perfect td.!!!

E4 is probably the tank most in need of a buff, either to armour or ROF.

It has really suffered with recent TD nerfs IMO.

Hate mine.

I found the E4 to be a great improvement after T30. It is much faster and more fun to play. For me the armor is enough because if you angle it properly it will bounce most of the stuff thrown at you. For best performance use rammer and vents + BiA for crew to bring the reload time as low as possible.

Had a round a while back where i was left alone against e100 and a Tiger 2, both at full health, and took out both of them, despite reload time of 16+ sec. Bounced more than 6k dmg that time, all thanks to propper angling.

It was my first tier 10 tank and i love it.

If you are concerned about your stats at all, you shouldn't.

This tank is a WR black hole. With no other tank a WN8 of 1700 at 45% WR is possible.

This tank was one of the biggest disappointments. I really like the theoretic gameplay with the turreted TDs but this tank just doesn't work.

The gun is much too random, and the armour doesn't work reliably. Even hull down doesn't work as well as with T30 due to the bigger weakspot.

In short: dont bother with the tank until it's been buffed significantly
