I'm broke so I would not be able to get it even if they released it now. :(

Hopefully it won't be a one-time bundle, as it is I'm starting to get more interested in Super Sherman than Mle. 49.

We should get the tank without a bundle though. Russia did. I'll buy a months premium and some gold separately. I just want the tank now.

RU always gets the choice of either the bundle or the tank. EU doesn't, so you better save up your money and get the tank AND the gold/premium time bundled with it.

That is, unless they decide to add Super Sherman as a standard premium for unknown reasons, but I doubt it.

To be honest with the amount of fuss that has been kicked up regarding bundles I'm hoping it does come on its own. That way everyone can enjoy it. When it eventually gets released to us that is.

I admit I'm distrustful by nature, but I highly doubt WG will ever care about what us customers truly want.

They know at least some people will buy the Super Sherman regardless, so they know that selling it as a bundle will net them more money.

That, and hey some of us could actually have some use for the premium time and gold bundled with the tank.

Already in RU premium shop for 30€ around not bundled with gold or premium account days...

Is a must have for me...

Well don't put your hopes too high.

I think WG EU was planning to release it as a part of the "Collectors gem of the week", but due to the "issue" about gamers started to really dislike these overpriced bundles, they just stopped doing it. For awhile at least.
Otherwise Im pretty sure they would have already introduced the tank to the premium shop (like they have done on the RU server), but they have not because they want to introduce it in a useless bundle...

but trying Firefly with a kemp bush setup against higher tier opponents, they just laugh at you, spot you, and wreck you.

Why on earth would you bush kemp with a Firefly? You're a TD/Med hybrid for a reason, use that increased mobility!

My experience with Firefly was as a long range sniper with binos and camo net, I discussed the matter some time ago.

It worked on Tier 6, but I recognize it was hindering the tank's potential in city maps or in higher tier matches. Learning never ends. :P

Anyway, I've prepared some funds for the Super Sherman bundle, assuming it'll be like with 59-Patton, I expect a 50€ bundle with premium time and gold. I'm willing to pay WG, don't screw up.

I'm actually running it with Vents, Optics, and Rammer, and NO Vert. Stabs. or GLD. Maximize RoF over shot placement, since you'll penetrate most of the time anyway, even with autoaim. Optics allow you to retain a fair view range (no necessarily spotting range) while being more mobile than with Bino's. I do stay second line, but I keep moving with the assault, and flank when the opportunity presents itself. Top list I might find a gap mid game, and break through (Firefly almost works at as a low armor high alpha heavy at this stage). Bottom list I will stay behind friendly heavies a bit. Nine times out of ten, enemies simply ignore you and go for the Tier VIII's, while you are actually doing the most DPS.

Firefly can run with no stabilizer as it has great gun handling, and because yes, at Tier 6 the 17 Pdr. is a murder gun. Then again, playing it with binos and camo net did give me some results, I aced the tank on my second-third match by camping and sniping, and advancing only to mop up the remaining enemies. As I wrote before, using it as if it was a T-34-85 or Easy Eight is a mistake because the Firefly excels at being a sniper-turreted TD, not an aggressive flanker.

Speaking of Super Sherman though, I feel stabilizer is important, as are gun handling crew skills. Looking at it, somehow it reminds me of a Jackson - light armor, decent-ish camo, a big gun, stay behind others and support. As the meta and maps are, I do agree with you that an equipment set that allows flexibility is better than a specialist one though.

So, price of this thing in gold is 7200, which is fair.

The problem is, will people care about it when CDC is around and does a better job as a 'true' medium tank?

Super Sherman is comparable either to Firefly or to Jackson, two tiers higher with more health and a bigger gun, but trying Firefly with a kemp bush setup against higher tier opponents, they just laugh at you, spot you, and wreck you. Now imagine this against stuff like BatFarts, Soviet meds, STB-1 and AMX 30 which can spot the other side of the map.

Still interested in this tank though. :)

CDC is over rated IMO, soft stats kill it, horrible ground resistance values kill the mobility and horrible bloom values kill the gun, it's so soft as well that as soon as you are spotted you are priority target and easy to hit as you are huge.

This whilst soft, at least can minimise exposure because of the alpha, you out damage HT tanks of the same tier (only T34, IS3 and IS6/WZ111/112/t-34-3) do he same or more damage.

I'd like some pen, better aim time and a bit more DPM but I think this tank will work just because alpha + decent enough pen + shell speed + ok platform.

Also Sherman (tier 5 one) has about 13% base camo it's decent enough, with a good crew you'll be ok.

Plus pretty much every tier 8 medium can get murdered by a tier 10 medium, at least this on is able to trade about as well.

@Pihip,

I agree,  it's no agressive flanker,  but it can sneaky flank. When I do play it aggressively,  it's from top list. Top list this tank is very forgivable enabling you to pull of stunts that normally wouldn't suit it's class.

I'm slow so I just noticed. You say today we get it, yet today's offer is a lousy Super Pershing bundle. Were your sources wrong or did you post just to troll?

You're not that good with blue stats? Then what amounts to 'good' in this game, unic0m or above? :P

I bought the cdc yesterday and have been struggling a bit. Running into enemy lights is really bad. And at the moment I'm going to the same places they are. But I've had a few good games and I'm certainly making credits. I'm looking forward to the M4a1 revalorise. Can't wait.

I was talking about your global stats, 56% winrate is very good imho, this said from a perpetual 52%er. :harp:

Snipe and flank until over halfway battle, then trade with hp.  Use that awesome gun depression without turret tumors and you're fine. Also you can ram a lot with this tank if you have a bit health left.

M4A1 will be totally different tank. I hope it plays just like firefly because that tank is awesome.
