Most Japanese tanks feel horribly under average in every aspect for me (except for the exceptional STB-1).

Why the light tanks are not included here? Do they lead to another tier X tank?

Because there's always only one line on discount, IIRC.

Same as TotT T57 Heavy: only M7-T69 not M24-T49.

Hmm, time to start grinding on sta1 then. Just wondered, i know these crew skills are just suggestion, but they actually made me wonder about 1 thing, taking camo instead repair. Currently my japan crew got their 1st ability and leveling BIA, was planning to go full repair as 3rd perk but getting camo instead could be really usefull for this beast? i really wonder now..

Stb 1 : best looking tank but too hard to master for non-super unica.

I noticed in the previous TOP OF THE TREE for STB-1 that WG was reccomending repairing instead of Camo but when i was grinding up the japanese line i thought that camo isnt a bad idea either so i've started playing with camo instead of the common suggestion (repair) for me it was a satisfying decision cus a great sniper needs a good camo to shoot at so i tried it and i never wanted to change that. It is really important to stay hidden in an aggresive location and start firing without being detected and if so move fast to another location and hide your tank. For me this is the way i was playing this tank and this is how i dominated with it at least in STA-1. Though i still wondering if its going to work playing it like this on Tier X but i think it will cus the gameplay between STA-1 and STB-1 is almost identical and it really worked for me though its not a camping vehicle it can still kill unaware tanks on the front lines. However its the case i am glad that WG shares the same opinion with my decision now but whats your thoughts STB players?

Well that's cool. However it's not gonna convince me to grind the Japanese tanks. Reason being that the only good one is the T10 STB-1.

Powergrind ahoy then - have four skill girl crew currently in Type-61, with approx 130k left to go.

Ref crew skills - BIA, Camo, and the usual view range bits, safe stowage, etc. Found the both the STAs to be awesome with full Camo... Type is okay, like a better PTA

I am up to the STA-1 after some interesting adventures in the Chi-to and Chi-Ri.

I had always trained repairs first, but am now starting to believe in the magic of camo for meds. In a game dominated by vision mechanics the ability to be invisible for longer seems better than waiting for your tracks to fix themselves. It's not like you are going to brawl in the Japanese meds is it? Of course four skill crews take this dilemma away.

I've switched the STA-1 crew to full camo, best move ever. However, I still needed premium food to get the best out of this tank. It really doesn't like to get hit, so it's better to have skills preventing getting hit than the ones curing the hits.

Stopped playing the Japanese line when I hit the Chi-Ri and started wanting to rage quit every game:angry:. good time to get back into it and see if I cant figure out how you are supposed to do well in that thing.

Its the size of a house, slow and has no armour:( hoping when I get the autoloader it actually gives this tank something to make it playable as at the moment it feels like the worst tier 7 I have had to play and I think I have played almost all of them.
