Well worth a visit Bovington tank Museum and the live displays are simply amazing.

I really need to save up and go back there again.

Look forward to the videos of this years tank fest

yes, well done for helping tankfest to continue WG, but how about telling us what's happening in-game for those of us that can't get there, like the 7 day TOG rental mission and what (if anything) is in it for those who have a TOG already?

I think it's pretty poor that after a few years with the community telling you the same thing about mission news that we are still waiting until friday afternoon/evening for mission details to be posted on the forum. They really need to be posted a day or so earlier or even on the Friday morning would be an improvement.

Posting mission late gives them more clicks & visits on webpage. Or they are just too busy random banning .. as it seems this is the latest "thing".

Well I was all ready to go to the fest tomorrow, was going to pick up my son and have a great day out,

but Monday morning I awoke and had a massive heart attack, so will be missing out this year.

If you get a chance, it's well worth the it.

So the mission with TOG II is the only thing we get this weekend ? You could at least include a good tank like SU-122-44 or something usefull ... not TOG II ...

Well I assume a lot of players will end up togging for the day prob not enough to fill entire teams but enough to form tog platoons which is fun.

Cannot aggree more about lack of information its beginning to look like deliberate wg policy rather than just an oversite.

Time was we knew the name of every mission coming that month now usually they were named in such a way as you could work it out.  this months operation Bagration was like that.

Go look up the battle and you can pretty much figure out its going to involve late war German and Russian tanks.

Time was also about 4 or 5 days before the event we would have more details and the complete event in detail by thursday or friday at the very latest for an event starting the following day.

Some of that still happens on some servers. but not here, on the EU its always passed on to us in a last minute.

Ooh by the way here iis your event enjoy

You had a fantastic system where we all got to know about future events and specials and could prepare and look forward to them all that we know these days is that there will be lots of events far more than formerly most will be fairly run of the mill and some pretty good and because other servers get to know first we get the double let down.

Wow look what they are getting on the NA server wonder if we will get that.

hope so heard anything about EU yet, nope

Several days later a very much weaker copy of the NA event or a different one also no where near as good.

LOL - you make that sound like a minor inconvenience! Glad you are obviously doing OK so soon afterwards. Best turn off screen chat while you are playing. Always next year for Bovingdon, although it's actually very good to visit on a quiet day when you can wander round at your own pace and get to see the vehicles, although not many will be moving.

Tankfest was great as usual but wtf were WG up to? Last year you got a goodie bag which included a bottle opener, a t shirt, an invite code and a bonus code, this year you had to play a game on one of their 18 PCs to qualify for a goodie bag!!! Three hour wait to play a 10 minute game and be given a cheap t shirt and an invite code??? Sorry WG but I went to Tankfest to see the tanks not to queue up to play a game I can play any time I want at home. Massive Fail.

Waited for almost two hours to get a game to get the goodie bag from the site located at almost the opposite end of the event. Gave up eventually as i already missed the leopard display team and diddnt want to miss anymore of the show. . Sorry you were dissapointed about the goodie bag but i feel a bit better now about not managing to get mine.  Had to wait ovet an hour to get to meet quickybaby as no official signing photo ops etc had been organised. Would have made sence to have had all the community contributers in one area for a few hours for us autograph stalkers

. . Cant fault the rest of the event though that i saw.

Had a great time, walked around the museum before the display started, went to the WG area, spoke with a rather nervous Ectar hiding on the stairs with a microphone.  Looked at the queue and decided that looked too much like work so went to watch the display instead.  Bagged a nice spot right on the barrier.

Why anyone would pay to get in just to stand in a queue to play a game they can play at home for nothing is beyond me.

The idea of having to get 3 kills for a goodie bag was a good one I thought, in theory it should have kept the queue down.
