Good morning E-100 drivers, I am a few thousand credits away from getting my E-100 and I was wondering what skill perks should I use for the crew. Until now I was using these on the E75:

Commander: 6th sense, repairs
Driver: Preventive m., repairs
Loader: Firefighting, repairs
Gunner: Deadeye, repairs
Radio operator: Firefighting, repairs

I have a second Loader trained with repairs, to get it on the E-100.

What I was thinking was getting rid of the 6th sense, since this tank is already easy to spot and retrain all repairs to BiA, training the 3rd skill to repairs again. Would that be a good move? What other perks would you recommend?

Any advices are welcome, thank you.

Depending on how far you are in your second skill I would go for BIA+Repair+6th or BIA+6th+Repair. If you are below 90% I would go for Repair as second skill. As an E-100, arty will make you its target. So when you get tracked you will probably be in a world of hurt. As you say most times you will be noticed peekabooing and what not.

6th sense is wonderful in open maps but in city maps it does not matter as much. Repairing tracks is always nice.

I would go:

Commander BiA, Mentor, Repairs

Gunner BiA, Snapshot or Designated Target, Repairs

Driver BiA, Preventive Maintenance, Repairs or Clutch Braking

Radio Operator BiA, Situational Awareness or Repairs, Repairs or Situational Awareness

Loader BiA, Safe Stowage, Repairs

Loader BiA, Adrenaline Rush, Repairs

Nipponsei: Paint me blue and call me silly but I don't think my E-100 burns that often that I would take Preventive as 2nd skill. I would still go with Repairs. Have you noticed less fires? I am just curious to know.

Your engine is still in the front, so it will catch fire relatively fast when taking enemy fire in the front, however if you get shot straight up in the front youre doing something wrong anyway so in a way you might be right, still i would rather take that skill just so i reduce the chances of using my extinguisher.

well i have the E-100 already quiet a time but i have double feeling of it: first and all it has good protection against other tanks when it's good angled at them, but it is very fragile to arty. second the gun gives massive damage but the penetration is really bad and third even if you show your front to the enemy it doesn't mather becuase one good shot and your engine is damaged or it's on fire --' so i don't know sometimes it's fun but sometimes it dissapoints me alot :/

IMO there are 3 rules for using the E100 succes fully:
1-use HEAT
2-get in arty cover
3-sidescrape
do this and hope you don't get on sand river or some other arty map and the E100 is a BEAST

And the 3 rules for non german HTs:
1-use AP
2-if there arent a german tank use cover, if there is, just roll without problem
3-show your reliable strong frontal armor and kill every red tank

You missed:
4-if theres a german enemy tank use gold ammo so that his armor is obsolete

Yesterday I had a horrible losing streak in the E-100 despite being in a platoon with two good players. It was the day of bouncesTM. Imagine my surprise when I shoot an E-75 in the rear and bounce... Not to mention all the penetrating shots with 0 damage... It is really wearing on my bare nerves.

It is sad that this is my first top tier tank that has fallen from a good tank to one of the lower half of tier X. Some games it is really good but more often it is shit and all I can do is to survive as long as possible so my team can dish out enough damage.

I sold this tank last summer and rebought it recently. I don't know what they changed since then exactly, but I think it's pretty damn amazing right now. I think it only needs little bit more gun depression. Penetration is still a problem, but I guess premium shells are mandatory nowdays.

Oddly I like going 1 on 1 against tier X mediums with this tank, performs really well against them for some reason.

After a long pause, i tried WOT again past few days, and as a result sold my E100.. Using 15cm gun and doing no damage whatsoever with multiple shells on targets like batchat is really fun. Not.
Back to Diablo it is...

4. Angle your turret away from enemy whenever you are reloading so they have lower chance to penetrate it.
5. Cover lfp as much as you can

completely true, although sidescraping automatically hides the lfp

e-100 probably getting its upper side armor (part above tracks) nerfed from 130mm to 120mm if the new dev answers are correct.

Quote

- Q: "On the E-100, the plan shows 120mm on the sides but the game has 130mm, on the scheme the lower front hull armor is 200mm, but in the game it's 150mm, how's that possible?"
A: "Yes, we have to nerf the side armor. As for the lower frontal armor - we have it correctly, it matches the references we have, but we'll check the sides"

"historical accuracy" strikes the germans once again, not surprised at all.
