Edit: The response here and in pm have been awesome folks, thanks very much. I feel honoured to have been considered for quite a few of the clans  (especially the dingers, awesome clan full of surfer hippy forumite types - just up my alley) that sent me messages here, in pm and in the game. I've recently been in contact with an old mate who's invited me back to my last clan, all my friends are there so it's a no brainer, they're relaxing the rules to promote a little more of the old fun so many of us seek. It took me days of lonely quiet solo play to realise I need to join a bunch of misfits again and days to pluck up the will to write a post here and the responses were nothing short of brilliant. Sincere apologies and thanks to everyone here, take care and see you on the battlefield.

Crikey, never thought I'd see me use this part of the forum, but here I am, begging for friends :P.

The recent tiring campaign and a few other factors have seen me lose interest in playing the game over-competitively, i.e. I'm not a die hard 'I play WoT for CW or SH only' tanker and don't want to spend my nights after work sitting in channel waiting between clan battles and strongholds. That said, I really don't mind playing in either of them at all (in fact it's great from time to time), but when it becomes the rule to be there or be kicked, rather than being an option, then I choose the door.

Ultimately I want to have a good time, relax with friends, have a laugh and enjoy platooning in the cesspit of a sandbox in randoms, with occasional cw and strongholds, but no watchdog counting my days online and when I'm not in teamspeak. No stringent militaristic rules, no hardcore fanaticism...just a come and go as you please type of place where people are chilled and like to socialise...this is what the game has become for me lately..... a place to enjoy myself with no-one enforcing company policy other than a few rules on ettiquette and sportsmanship. Guess I'm just a winding down veteran of the game looking to recapture a little relaxation, with no need to pursue some wannabe elitist driven agenda. I'm a quiet guy with my loudest voice usually only being heard on the forums when I make random noises from time to time.

Is there such a place..a utopia of a clan? Or is the thought merely a fantasy?

Truth is, I need to see who is out there before I create my own clan for this very reason. Cheers.

Hi,

check out  Radio Signals or  Signal Spike .

No obligations, teamspeak optional (no obligation), freestyle, for casual above-average players.

SPIKE for occasional stronghold skirmishes (silent, without teamspeak!), RADIO for platoons only.

No CW.

sincerely,
Scrontch

Hi jinx My name is Jamesdun commander of the old BURR and Deputy of the New BURR

I can easily see you dilemma here where you have joined clans where the community is huge and it can be hard to make friends or even join in activity so I suggest a small to medium size clan (around 30 members)

so im going to post a few Things in this post that might interest you

1. us trying to recruit you

2. About starting a clan

1,

So BURR_  is a social clan based around team battles and clan activity's like CW 2,0  of which we took land on the first day and held it for about 4 days earning us 555 gold. (Holy gold - the first CW gold)

We then split this gold between all members that have taken part and were ready to take part.

However we only do T6 Clan wars due to our clan being not too big but intend to move to T8 ASAP to earn more gold and have more fun

A big thing that you have said is that you don't want to be on all the time and not Stuck to time limits to avoid being stuck to time limits we generally ask you through Skype or in game if you want to participate in CW the day before which reduces the amount of players raging at having to be on at certain times

We do have a Ts3 server that we use for platooning and clan activity's and its where all the general banta takes place

We have a YouTube channel where you can submit RNG replays and general replays that we are happy to put up on YouTube

We do CW 2,0 and wish to hold provinces in the name of Brian badondae ()

We do Strongholds and Team battles (mostly strongholds to earn influence)

We have a friendly community who try to platoon at any moment they can (well at least I do :P)

the only problem I can see with joining BURR is that our clan stats are 850 average WN8 and you may not want to play with us noobs :)

2.

Creating a clan is very stressful and there are a lot of things that you have to do in order to create a successful clan otherwise you just either get stuck with 100 WN8 players that are never online or nobody joins

I can give you a few tips and tricks on what to do if you decide to launch your clan

1, Create a recruitment post - this is one of the best things to do as you get your clan noticed on the forum however new clan sometimes struggle but with your Wn8  you should have no problem
2, start it with friends you already have - BURR_ started with original BURR members and BURR started with my friends wanting to just have some fun and not be pestered to join a clan

3. Be as active as you can - If you are not a very active players in the begging people may end up leaving because they feel lonely
4, have some form of communication - If you have some communication in your clan like teamspeak members are less likely to leave and more likely to join

5. Subscribe to this part of the forum and recruit on it as often as possible

6, Have a memorable clan name

These are just a few tips that may get you going on starting a clan but if you get any further in making a clan I suggest spending some money on a website and any other things that can promote your clan

Jamesdun Deputy of BURR_

PS these are the Rules we have on TS

3 Day Bans:
Spamming - This could be reapeated typing in chat in such a way to avoid spam protection or abusing ignore antiflood, etc. However microphone spam is taken into account so if you are purposely spamming your microphone with static then you would be breaking this rule. Channel hopping is furthermore counted as spam and therefore will earn you a punishment also.
Echo - If you have echo through your microphone then you must use push-to-talk or lower your voice activation to a minimum (this rule goes for everyone, no matter who you are). If you refuse to do this we will add you to the 'Muted' group.
Insults and Abuse - If you are abusing another client either verbally or through text chat then you will be punished. This furthermore counts towards being offensive, racist, nationalist, etc. If many punishments still doesn't see you stop insulting people you will have an abusive warning from Sukpee.
Names - You must use your in-game name or your real life name on the server. Using other people's names or irrelevant names is inappropiate and will not go unpunished.
Avatars and Descriptions - Your avatars and descriptions must not contain any bad words or phrases that are offensive, swears or rude in any way.

5 Day Bans:
Music - No user except the Music Bot (with server group 'Bot;) is permitted to play music on the server. If you would like music then ask Jamesdun or Sukpee to add the music to the spotify playlist, or just get Sukpee to play it straight from YouTube.
Recording - No recording of any kind through the server. This goes for all users, including officers and bots.
Voice Changers - Absolutely no voice changers allowed on this server. Using a voice changer will earn you two warnings and a ban without hesitation.
Server Bashing - If you have any complaints about the server, it's layout, etc. then please come and talk to an officer, so that while you're insulting us we can fill out a form to ban you.
Soundboards - Do not use soundboards at anytime as they are annoying and distracting. No user no matter who they are, is permitted to use a soundboard of any kind.

10 Day Bans:
Real Life Threats - If you threatened to track down, injure or even kill someone in real life through the TeamSpeak server, then you will be severly punished.
Spam Relogging - If you connect and reconnect repeatedly for no apparent reason why, you will be processed for spam relogging and possibly banned.
Permissions Abuse - If you abuse your permissions through

the TeamSpeak server by poke spam, kicking for nothing, etc. then you will be banned yourself and have the certain permission you abused revoked.

Permanent Bans:
IP Changers - Using an IP changer in an effort to get yourself unbanned is funny as it won't work but also strictly forbidden. If you do however find out the way to unban yourself then we will permanently ban you; as you have to take 5 minutes to unban yourself whereas it takes us 5 seconds to ban you.
Repeated Insults - If you are repeatedly insulting members/users of the teamspeak server. Then ALL of the admins will cast a vote to have you permanently banned. If the ban is favoured then it will happen, even if you are an Officer, Admin, Executive or a Commander.

Harsh bans to stop bad stuff happening

Thanks mate, I have no issue playing with players of a lower rating than my own, it's only a number other than of course the real botting bobs out there. A couple of really low wn8 players helped carry me to complete a very difficult obj 260 mission a while ago of which I was really grateful and helped me realise that judgement is in the eye of the beholder in many cases. Thanks too for the info, will have a look.

Hi Jinx_UK,

I'd like you to come and  experience FLOG's TS to see if we would be the right home for you.

We are looking at attendance for FLOG but we are looking at a minimum of once per week but more if you feel like it for CW's and Strongholds.

Contact me or one of our recruiters http://eu.wargaming....lans/500040069/ for the TS details.

This. RADIO has no TS obligations (we have a server but it's optional), we platoon and don't SH or CW. I for one platoon at all tiers, am looking for fun first and foremost and like socializing.

We also regularly organize contests which only require you to play as you usually play. And you might just win some gold :)

Good evening, Mr Jinx!

Take a look at our forums, make an introduction-post and see if you like the way we welcome. It's a friendly, relaxed bunch of 200 players, shared in game chat and lots of fun.

Link is in my signature.

Have a nice day, and good luck in your search.

Jogga.

I've found that the most relaxing clans are the smaller ones that don't try and act like they are big. R3V0 is tiny in comparison with most clans - but we accept that and deal with what we have. Also rigorous daily CW in a smallish clan is not good, especially when there is activity problems.

Its all about finding people that you can get on with, whether that's in platooning, CW, SH or just solo play while chatting.
