Yey! For Wargaming giving into the temptation again to sell an OP vehicle because Serb needs more money for his gold plated space program!

I'm glad they artificially inflated the price with useless cr@p otherwise mid tier battles would become unplayable instantly.

Wow, even the 55 Euro Ferdinand model with a code for the LeFH18B2 is a better deal.

I have it, don't buy it!

It hits nothing, I think WG nerfed it's accuracy without saying something, because before it was much more accurate.

No thank you WGEU, and 100% because of WG Belarus Devs, their idiot PM's and idiot exclusive reward tank policy.

Ok lots of negativity, so (to quote Monty Python) now for something completely different.

I got this tank when it was on sale last year and the machine itself is great, probably the most fun arty to play in the game. Fast reload (compared to the other tier 5 arty) and a quick aim time mean this thing is not frustrating to play like the other arty start to be at tier 5 and above. Ofc you can train French SPG crews in it, and I find IF you do damage with it you will at least turn a profit, obviously being arty you have to hit stuff to do damage and this thing is no more accurate than any other SPG.

Also it's not horrible to play against, sure the RoF means it has the potential to perma-track you IF (and only if) it can keep hitting you, but it seldom does it's full damage roll more often than not even hitting non heavy tanks it'll probably roll 100 - 150 on a good hit, 350 if you very lucky. Obviously you are more likely to get full damage rolls on light low tier stuff but that is the same for all arty.

So I think the Tank is good, but the deal, I picked mine up for roughly half the price that they are asking now and at the time I thought that was steep for a tier 5 (although it has proven to be worth it IMO) but this deal even if you factor in the cost of the gold is really pushing it.

It seems WG have a new marketing strategy, inflate the price of a package by loading it with gold, while on paper it may be a good deal in practice I suspect they would get far more sales if they offered the tanks without the gold at a respectable price.

Why are people saying this is a bad deal?

Premium Account costs €10 or 2500 gold per month. For €30 you're getting three months of Premium Account, 750 gold and the 105 leFH18B2 with a garage slot.

If you buy ninety days of Premium Account from the shop, it costs €27.45. So then you're getting 750 gold and the 105 leFH18B2 with a garage slot for €2.54.

They don't like it because not everyone wants to buy gold/premium time right now, they'd rather buy them separately as and when they need them. Tbh this is just a rather obvious marketing ploy by WG, like those supermarket BOGOF offers, they're hoping to tempt you in to buying something you may not actually want right now. For example, perhaps you want to buy the tank, but you didn't really need to buy gold, WG are hoping you will pay over the odds for the tank because they have included  gold which you probably didn't want, or someone who wants gold pays over the odds for it to get the tank thrown in as well. As i said Supermarkets have been doing this for years and most world wise people spot the ploy for what it is.

I repeat (and hope the WG are reading this, fat chance) THEY WILL SELL MORE OF THESE VEHICLES IF THEY SELL JUST THE VEHICLE AT A REASONABLE PRICE WITHOUT THE GOLD.

Also bear in mind it is an arty so all the SPG haters will hate this deal too.

Oh btw of the SU76i appears, regardless of the deal I suggest you all buy it, that thing rocks (I should know I have one).

Maybe the way WG Dev's have made WOT's rubbish with things like PM's has made all of everything in WOT's over-priced? I wouldn't pay for prem account any more either, that's a rip off too now. Why should we want this arty? I bet arty missions - they could keep it for free.

Nice reference ;-)

Agreed, but fast aim time and quick reload mean that even if the accuracy isn't amazingly good (and it feels like it is) you can fire so many shells, so quickly, that something will connect sooner or later...

It IS horrible to play against.  I was up against one last night in my Panzer IV Schmalturm on Swamp.  Since the IV S is good for hull down I went to the top A line, where myself and a team mate met 2 enemy KV-85s, a T-34-85 and a Covenanter.  Bad odds made all the worse by the fact that I had to spend most of my time trying to dodge the incessant arty shells landing all around me, whilst simultaneously trying to stay hull down and shoot weakspots on enemy tanks.  I appreciate that there is an argument that the arty player was just doing his job, supporting his team mates by making my position difficult, if not outright untenable, and actually hitting me twice (for about 350hp and then 150hp - the same numbers you mention but it wasn't really great fun for me! Admittedly the Panzer IV S doesn;t have great mobility but it's still prbably better than many tanks, especially most heavies and some TDs so it would be even harder for them to avoid.

So I think the Tank is good, but the deal, I picked mine up for roughly half the price that they are asking now and at the time I thought that was steep for a tier 5 (although it has proven to be worth it IMO) but this deal even if you factor in the cost of the gold is really pushing it.

This is not a new tactic, they've been doing this for years!!!

See inline.

Now to be honest - I'll *probably* get it for exactly those reasons I talk about.

It's not a bad arty piece, fast and furious firing.  Like a demented wood pecker.

Not sure about the bundled packages, but some people will like them.
