Because this one in particular is very old line and it already was several times in top of the tree.

A constructive feedback:

Whomever proposed to give "Situational Awareness" to the radio operator as the first skill should know that his/her insight into game meta, game play, and game mechanics is next to non existent, and thus should refrain from giving any advices related to gameplay.

And I mean it!

I won't comment on other crew members but to explain better, why SA skill is not a good choice, and why whomever wrote the article has no clue, let me elaborate:

Situational Awareness is ok skill to have, if the tank has dedicated radio operator, that does not share any other crew role, and that already has some other essential skills, and if the tank can actually benefit from increased view range, as in has some basic camo to work with in pair with it's view range.

In case of AMX, first skill should be Repair, mainly to repair tracks as soon as possible. The tank has poor turret and side amour and when tracked it's easy target, even for tier 8 enemies. It needs it's mobility to stay safe and to deliver it's 4 shells to the enemy effectively and then run away. If tracked anywhere near the enemy, it's as good as dead. Since radio operator is also a loader, safe stowage is a valid option too. As said above, thin armour means plenty damage to the tank, and this means module damage too. If ammo rack gets damaged the reload time will be painfully slow. Safe stowage won't always save it, but will be a step in a good direction to at least mitigate the risk. Brothers in Arms is an obvious choice for an autoloader, but should come later, after essential skills are picked. Situational awareness might be a good candidate for fourth skill, but it's usefulness is greatly mitigated by the fact that AMX is a giant of a tank and due to it's poor camo rating it's unlikely it will win in the vision control struggle and, especially against top tiers, will be outspotted with or without the SA skill. Short line of sight environment on most of maps will also render the skill useless. It's still a better pick than the rest of the radio op or loader skills though.

Never buy stuff at the mid of the month (When next top of the tree will pop up) or when any big event is in sight.

Right, so in case you have missed it, here's the thing:

Block Quote

As always, please consider the setup for both the equipment and crew skills as suggestions. Feel free to experiment on your own and choose what you think works best for you.

Also, if you start your piece of "constructive criticism" with insults, it's not really that constructive, now is it.

I have a little excercise for you: I know it will be hard and potentially painful, but please bear with me. Here it is - ready? Why don't you consider for a minute the possibility that maybe - just maybe - you are not the alpha and omega of WoT, and your personal preference and playstyle is not the ultimate way of playing the tank?

I personally think that the tips provided in the article make sense and can be used as a basis for understanding the tank and effective gameplay. Got a different approach? Good for you, but get off your high horse lest you hit your head against a branch.

Seriously, some people and their egos... :sceptic:

So I'll give you a suggestion. Put camo skill on all your heavies. It's useless, but it's a suggestion. How about that?

No, you either suggest something that actually make sense or you don't say anything. Simple as that. Anything else is either misleading others on purpose or pure incompetence.

And no, I'm not alpha and omega, not even beta or gamma of WoT. There are players out there that would chew me out without an effort. But I am experienced enough to give a valid advice on skills. On the other hand the WG's "suggestion" is very bad and it's safe to assume the person who posted it has little knowledge about the subject and I just did give in my first post a clear reasoning why is that. Personal preferences are no issue here. There are crew skills that are more essential than others. Situational Awareness in not one of them.

Take it or leave it. But before you actually comment on what I had to say bare in mind that what you "personally" think is clearly reflected in your game performance, i.e. your idea about how to play the game is flawed ... at best. But hey. Carry on following "suggestions".

As the article writer said, its not a frontline tank, and many people use it that way, sniping from as far away as possible without being seen, using team mates spotting. You want your view range to be as high as possible in that case.Just cause you use it your way , doesnt mean everybody else is wrong. And the writer also mention its just a suggestion, feel free to tank with it if you feel that way.

Saw this coming via the ingame missions a few days in advance,
Slowly Grinding up the AMX M4 45 at the moment (and have a long way left of that) Might just manage the tier 8 before the special is over
