This year, in honour of the 70th anniversary of the victory in Europe and the 71st anniversary of D-Day, a group of guests including veterans and actors from the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers gathered in Normandy, France. The four-day event (June 4-7) saw participants tour the Overlord Museum, the Utach Beach Museum and the Richard D. Winters Leadersip Monument. For fans of Band of Brothers and history aficionados, it was a unique chance to meet veterans who participated in the D-Day landings and the actors who portrayed them, as well as tour areas where actual battles took place.

Wargaming was a proud sponsor of this event, as part of our ongoing support of historical and heritage projects, along with The WWII Foundation and our content partner, War History Online.

Roll out!

Maybe it is me, but if you link us to certain Museums or Monuments, you could at least spell their names right...

"The Wargaming team prides itself on the intention to historical detail that we put into the games, because we take history very seriuosly [...]. It's part of our DNA."

Does the company you copied the video from know you did that and replaced its name by "Wargaming"?

^^ this. I think a lot of people would have liked to attend the event. However, this is nearly every year on june 6th. For the last decades veterans have returned to show respect to their fallen friends.

I think all veteran reunions are touching as you can almost see all the feelings they share together.

As always I tip my hat for the men who sacrifized their lives so others may live in peace. T'is a shame the world is about to be plunged into war once again and another generation will have to throw away their lives.

This, the absolute highlight of this trip was spending time with these amazing men, their accounts were so touching and made even more poignant by being in the very places they had been all those years ago.

I felt so honored that, as they explained to me, as I was an ex solider they felt that they could discuss things that they wouldn't contemplate with a "civvy".

Their humor and optimism was infectious.

I was proud that we were able to be part of this, and to all I met in Normandy and am keeping in touch with, gentlemen I salute you.

Not really sure what you are getting at here, the event was advertised back in February

This was just a brief resume of what happened there, that's all.
