I got lost in new interface (I couldn`t find anything in usual places) and rolled back to win7.

New interface is one big mess. And new stuff: commercials, adverts, news... I don`t need this sh**!

I had to buy this laptop with Win 8 because they didn't have any Win 7 ones and Win 10 is a huge relief to me. I hated that full screen start menu. Also love the new inbuilt recording function. I can't figure out how to make it record in better quality, but it's good enough for my purposes. Only negative point is that my extra mouse buttons don't seem to work anymore, which I had set for sniper view and locking the hull.

I upgraded two days ago. So far, pretty good.

The interface is clean and vastly better than Windows 8.1. After I had cleared up the stupid adverts and personalised the start menu, I was getting back to normal speed in terms of how easy to use it was. Before that however, I was a little clunky as all the shortcuts I had accumulated over 6 years of Windows 7 use had vanished. Other than that, very few problems.

Well I got substantial fps increase which allows me to play with decent graphics. So yes, I definitely like it.

Oh no! It's failed me! Well...TP-Link have. They haven't got Windows 10 drivers for my wireless adapter yet. Also, completely unrelated - my second monitor died! I had to replace it with a 1280x1024 monitor that came with an original Dell Dimension :D

Here's my somewhat ghetto Internet solution:

Spoiler

Yes I have a Steelseries sticker on my monitor. That's just because it came with my Apex M800 (currently waiting for custom key caps and so it's in many pieces)

I`ve been reading about windows 10 and I know two good reasons to not install it (it was in the internet so must be true :P ;)

1. You can`t turn off windows upgrade or even decide when upgrades will be installed so (apart from all other things like upgrading when you play) Microsoft can accidentally f*** up your system and your data at any time.

2. Your PC will be seeding windows upgrades, not only downloading them so you can expect lag spikes and crazy ping right when you are about to have battle of your life.

There is also third reason, but before you read this I recommend to put on tin foil hat: Microsoft is collecting more data about you, your PC and what you do online then ever before. Ofc it`s not a problem if you are using your PC at home only for playing games and watching pron (because who cares about this stuff), but if you have anything important on your computer you might not like it.

Kpt, I spent hours trawling through the settings and I've fixed most of the stuff.

You can install updates manually and stop seeding them through the advanced settings under Windows Update. You can also turn off practically all the data collecting by using a local account on the PC (rather than a Microsoft account) and turning off all the sliders when you're installing the OS.

Yay for TP-Link! They just sent me an email confirming how to get my adapter working! More tonks in a normal fashion!
