For those who don't know: the FV3805 is a British SPG that is playable in WoT. The real-life FV3805 was a prototype design, and only two FV3805s were ever built. The last known example of this machine was discovered on the Isle of Wight a few months ago, and there has since been an effort to restore it.

This effort is being spearheaded by Ed Francis and a team of experts, with support from the eponymous Mighty Jingles and the Twitch streamer Ritagamer. The restoration team have launched that Kickstarter to get the FV3805 back in pristine condition, with the aim of it being driven at Tankfest 2017. Even better, the team are hoping to make it one of the only tanks in the world with disabled access, so those who have been wounded in the line of duty can have the awe-inspiring experience of being inside this machine while it's driving.

I am not part of this project in any way, shape or form; I'm merely a fan spreading the word. This really is an amazing project; restoring a unique machine, giving wounded servicemen the chance for something awesome that they wouldn't normally be able to do, and even seeing the FV3805 driven at Tankfest 2017 by the first ever all-female crew (including Ritagamer). It only happens with our support, so I implore you to help these guys if you can. And moreover, let's bug Wargaming so that they see this project. It'd be fantastic if Wargaming sponsored this project, for them and the restoration team, so let's make it happen. ^_^

it's currently at 20%.... i doubt it will eventually gather all the money needed.

that's probably because it's an arty, and an arty that no one really knows to boot

RitaGamer and Jingles done a live stream and managed to help raise an extra £2,000 in a matter of hours!

At the moment the funds stand @ £15,226.

wargaming.net can you not help the team out and get this one and only tank up and running!

I live just a ferry ride away from the Isle of Wight, but sadly cant afford to regularly go over and volunteer and help out.

Still its a great project and hope it will one day roll forwards under its own steam again :)

Bumped this up guys. Great project would be massive if wg would get involved and help with the restoration aswell.

Be amazing if half the world if tanks community gave just one quid it would mean that the full funding would be active and then some. Well worth it in my view to keep a peice of history there for future generations
