Btw, Quickybaby mentioned yesterday on his stream that M56 Scorpion is coming this month.

I was thinking that it is going to be the marathon tank... but no. It will probably be a part of a bundle.

Not a single Collector’s Gem of the Week offer has ever been useful for me. I wish there would be once an offer for a tank I don't already have.

Funny, the US server has an event for tanks that are not sold anymore, and we'll have them only for money... Great job WG...

With the amount of hours you need to invest grinding marathon tanks it's cheaper to just buy them.

There are WZ-111 tokens in the gift shop so I think the question regarding Septmeber's marathon tank has been answered.

Yep. WZ 111 marathon started today.

And we got a news article about this marathon today... AFTER the marathon has already started...

First buff it, then sell to players.

I own it for more than 2 years but those years were a total power creep in WoT that made KV-5 embarassing to play.

A ligh tank that can take more than half of my HP with one shot ? German ninja TDs that I would never see and cut Kv-5 so-called armor with AP like butter ?

A VK(B) that is virtually impenetrable, unless one is satisfied with throwing HE for 50 dmg ?

If WG would offer me a refund in gold for 75% of the Kv-5 price I'd sell it straight away.

i bought it not too long ago, it appears so often that calling it "rare" is quite a stretch. played one game, hated it, opened a support ticket to get a refund (LOL). after 150ish games i got the hang of it, it's.. ok. but i certainly wouldn't buy it again, and yeah, i'd probably go for the 75% refund as well if they'd offer such a thing. the new japanese heavies will further add to the power creep. you also don't have to buy it now, it will be back on sale in no time.

I have to confess to being slightly puzzled by the WOT costing model; I may just be being old and out of date though.

An entire game (picked at random) at 36 Quid, so around 54 Euros (assuming 1.5 exchange rate); compared with 38.45 Euros for one lone tank and some gold.

On the face of it, it does rather look like these virtual products are over-priced (although if the market bears them, then clearly they aren't)...?

well played, WG...

I love throwing money at them, but this is just getting silly and sad.

Maybe it's time to sell the franchise to a western company, that can handle the success without exploiting the fact that this game has become the biggest hobby for many financially strong people in Europe.

(Also the game would deserve proper programming, which definitely can not be provided by WG).

Also: Save your money for Fallout 4 and XCOM 2!! Please support good games instead of this Russian freakshow, which is getting worse at a steady rate (not the game itself, but the way WG is handling it)!

If you don't own KV-5 and are okay with giving WG money, this is actually not a terrible deal. Not as good as some KV-5 bundles in the past, but it's alright.

It's about time to stop calling KV-5 a rare tank though. In fact it has been time to stop calling KV-5 a rare tank for years; it pops up so often you may as well just give it a permanent spot in the premium shop.

It's cheaper than the rest because it has some rather unfortunate characteristics regarding its firepower and armour layout, and because of that it has a reputation for being a terrible tank. Funnily enough it's actually a pretty effective credit grinder.
