Eh, this is not HD enough?

I know the model is ruined but that is HD quality.

What are you on about exactly?

Sorry Loekie just being sardonic.... meaning ( grimly mocking or cynical ) at the death of a good tank!  I will probably bin the T-71 now,  as I had to with the murder of my beloved VK36.01H. On both these tanks I had 5 perks..........5 perks what a waste of time and effort .......... in both cases we should have been offered our gold and EXP back first, just see how many would grind this now, you cannot even scout in it the damn thing now, it's the same height as a block of flats!

Well I answered your question, it is HD quality ;)

It looks pathetic now, I agree. Don't bin it! WG is busy making a system to not only have (visually) different turrets, but also different hulls. M46 Patton (with M47 hull) and T71 (with old SD hull) are most likely to use this.

And the T71 is a rockstar of a tank, they haven't changed the playstyle that much, have they?

Am I the only person here who thinks it looks better and is considering rebuying it after the HD rework?

They undid the previous ninja-buff of -10° gun depression instead of -7°. So the playstyle indeed did change massively, many nice positions that worked perfectly before are no longer viable.

Ninja buff? I know one of the stats programmes got the gun depression wrong for a while if that's what you mean. I haven't played mine in a little while, but I played it in 9.8 (had 7 degrees) and the beginning of 9.9 (still had 7 degrees).

Then how do you explain this replay?

Sorry, I might be having a moment of extreme retardation, but what replay?

Edit: Oh, it's there now. Hmmm, wasn't showing up originally. How strange...I'll have a look when I get home, though it is quite hard to estimate gun depression from a replay I imagine.

Edit2: Worth saying that your replay is later than the most recent T71 game I've had, so I'm not saying there was no buff, just that I was not aware of one. Anyway, I will watch the replay when I get home.

Hehe, i had to edit it in, as i at first had believed that this would be the other thread in which i already had posted it.

There is a huge difference between -7° and -10°, it should be easy to decide whether it's an average or an excellent gun depression. If all fails one can measure the angle of the gun during a screenshot from the side.

Actually i didn't check the content of that replay myself, but i'm fairly certain that i did use the gun depression to its max in it quite often.

I can't say I personally think it looks better, but I'm perfectly fine otherwise with the HD Rework. It looks a lot uglier but I don't spend every game looking at how my tank looks, so I could frankly care less.

You sneaky little ninja...

If they did briefly buff the gun depression, I can only assume it was by mistake as the tank doesn't have it now and vertainly didn't have it before (when I did the grind). It certainly doesn't need -10.

Alas jwu, I can't view your replay (9.9 replays are incredibly unreliable for me).

Edit: Yep, I've tried everything I can. Tried running it on everything from patch 9.7 to patch 9.10 and tried the 9.9 client with the `fix' but that replay makes my client crash every time. Sorry.

Hmm it doesn't work for me either.

Here is a youtube video of the T71 on sand river in 9.9

https://www.youtube....h?v=T_LGHnk7CvI

It's not as easily to see as in a replay, but he has a very easy time with peeking over those dunes making use of the gun depression. The current T71 with -7° gun depression wouldn't be able to do this.

The changes to the gun depression also got noticed on the NA forums:

http://forum.worldof...t-tank/#topmost

But yes, i think it may have been a mistake by WG which they fixed in the patch.

I wonder if the " Magic bushes " on Prokhorovka  and other maps are capable of hiding this carbuncle now?  May leave it in the garage with a dust sheet over it, just in case it does get reworked as Loekie says.

Yeah, so I wouldn't call it going from 10 to 7 (assuming it did) a nerf per say, just the correction of an error.

Yep.. It was insane fun while it lasted. Basically it combined some of the best features of a bulldog (gun handling, nice shell speed) with those of the SP1C (awesome gun depression, small profile, fast clip reload).

Have 860 games in it, have played it once since the rework.

It's just too damn, ugly.

When you run around looking around and you see that ugly POS it's just too annoying :)

It's like the ARL 44 with stock turret, omg that's some ugly crap.

If they had a bright orange camo color you could turn into a traffic cone.
