Good luck, just because you can attach a Keyboard and Mouse to a console doesn't mean the game will be compatible.

It won't help, since in such config, mouse/keyboard simply emulates the pad. You won't get the same experience as using mouse/keyboard on a PC.

I dount think it wil go cross platform.

It wil be most like the xbox version where there is no artillery in it.

For me tho il keep my tanks on the pc where it started ;)

Good for people that have a PS4 and don't have a decent enough gaming PC.

I'll personally just stick to the PC version however. As far as I've tried out WoT on console (360 version), the gameplay just feels slower because you can't aim as fast with a pad like you can with a mouse. Plus that (at least the version that I played) had no minimap on the screen, and you had to press a seperate button to activate the map, that would cover up the whole screen.

Great, good to know where our money is going and that people could actually work on a havok engine instead of working on a brand new ps4 "version"... But no, Havok had too much coding to do... Oh well, Cryengine is also good :)

Playing on new-gen console like PS4 should be nice due to it's spec and processing. Using pad is't a issue if you are master in FPS like I am... However it's not a problem to re-hook up keyboard and mouse, so there ain't issue there.. Now only problem is if it will be cross-platform as "shed" lot of ppl have account on PC and they have great collection there (not mentioning there stats and all). No one who have PC account with massive collection of tanks and great stats will put that aside to start again on PS4 from scrap, so cross-platform in my opinion it's a base for this business otherwise it's a waste of money for WG to make this. For example I am personally using my PS4 on daily basis and have to switch on my desktop PC only to play WoT and if I would be able to use my console to reconnect to my clan and game it would be awesome. And I bet that I'm not the only one in this position (plus it's more energy efficient then PC) :)

What you think?

Played it on the Xbox 360 and I didn't feel I was missing a keyboard/mouse as the controls are significantly more arcade if feel than those of the PC version, auto aim for example would snap to the nearest target (just like the auto-aim + mod does).

I think War Thunder on the PS4 can share accounts between the PC and PS4 versions, not sure if PS4 and PC players play in the same matches though, would be nice if WoT was the same, but if they keep the same tech tree and crew system setup from the Xbox 360 version (which was massively simplified when compared to the PC version) I doubt it will happen. Even if ity does I expect the best you can hope for is that your garage is synchronised between the 2 versions, I can;t see a system where PC players play directly with or against console players as the faster more accurate controls of the PC version would mean console players would get destroyed, no fun at all. Also the Xbox 360 version had arty in it, maybe it's changed for the Xbox One version.

If it is anything like the Xbox version then it will be a completely septate team from the PC development group, just as the WoWs team is separate from WoT, so I seriously doubt we have "lost" any developers to the console version. My guess is (and I am not a programmer so I don't know, I'm just guessing) that they will simply port the XBox One version to the PS4 , adding in some PS4 exclusive content, rather than developing a brand new version of the game.

Until my old Xbox Live Gold membership ran out I used to play the 360 version alongside the PC version, it made a nice change, no team damage (you couldn't damage team mates), no ranting in chat (there was no chat), no configuring mods or worrying about other players using "unfair mods", no clans just 2 teams of 15 trying to blow the stuffing out of each other.

I will get this game for the PS4 and play it just as I did the 360 version, doubt I'll bother with any sort of premium but it will be a nice change of pace from the usual WoT grind.

Id love to switch to PS4, if I wouldnt lose all my progress, especially premium tanks.

Ive invested far too much money into my PC account to let it go to waste.

If you have to start completely fresh the ps4 version is like non existant to anyone that has some noteable progress on the pc account.

Since I dont even need PS+ Ill definately give it a shot, but without some compensation I simply cant switch to PS4 no matter how much Id like to.

I'm sorry but there's no way to make that train wreck of an engine to work any better than it currently is. Besides, console players are good because they're not as likely to AFK and they'll be easy to kill when playing with a gamepad.
