KV-2 had 85mm? I looked it up and pictures show the 85mm and no 107mm. Should the 107mm be a 85mm then? I found a picture of the 85mm F-39 gun being used on a KV-2.

Has the KV-2/85 been forgotten? :o

No, it's just the fact that World of Tanks isn't historically accurate. The KV-85 is in the game to use the 85mm gun, but it seems WarGaming wanted to use the KV-2 as a "Derp" tank. :teethhappy:

The 152mm derp is historically accurate at least.

Besides WG has a habit of sticking guns on tanks that they never had presumably for "balancing reasons". 122mm on the SU-100, Tiger I having Tiger II's long 88mm, Panther with it's ridiculous L100 gun etc.

EDIT my thinking to the reason of doing this across the board is I guess to give tanks in general better pen compared to the armour of their same-tiered opponents, making it easier even for the nubs to score damaging hits and get a more arcade-y feel.
