Just finished battle in Lakeville,  standard mode.

On our side, there was 3x T-62a some 2500 rating players from clans.

Their style of play? rush trough canyon, wait in middle till  "noobs" start fighting city, then fast to base and cap.

This is not topic about "fast cap ruin game for everyone" rather  toughs about..  if current end game content (team battles, detachments, cws..) are good if they are so drastically different from standard random battles.  I mean strategy used.. gameplay style.

It was ok for them to just go and cap, use other as meat shields and statpad winratio little more..   but  I dont see it right. (yes I was one of meatshields, even I did more dmg than they all together..)

My 2c are -  end game content should be based on what you learn in whole game - like in all other MMORPGs.  Can you imagine - for example -  World of Warcraft, where raids will be completely different game from rest of content?  I cant.

I am playing detachments,  some times CWs, my clan have some provinces so I know what play styles and tactis are used in these battles and it just bugs me for longer time.

Its not rant topic, because I dont know if its that bad, just for me it seems wierd. yes weird.  If you compare end game content vs  game content. In World of Tanks.

So what do you play World of Tanks for if its not winning? Are you ranting about them not farming damage and actual winning a game for you or what is this about?

You only saw that one battle.  Maybe they needed to finish quick for CW or something.

One thing for certain, fast cap wins don't get you high WN8.

I do not know what you are trying to say but I think you do not have enough knowledge or experience to comment on end game. Keep on grinding randoms.

Imo WG should disable the cap for the first 5 minutes. Especially in encounter, where it can be really annoying. I mean, we play to fire at tanks, not to drive into a circle :P

They won the game, I see no problem with it. Sure it's annoying that they capped and let a lot of damage go by, but most people I know play to win and that is exactly what they did.

Maybe cap mission? Not sure if mediums have such a mission but still - might be an option

the only way to evaluate that game is if you give us a replay.

beside that, there might be several reasons for going straight to cap, including missions.

There is no skill about winning for yolo capturing, but damn, where were your spotters? If you dont spot anything and you control 3/4 of the map you can imagine what they are doing, camping or waiting for a zerg cap tactic, its your fault to let them come so close to your base to cap.

i will tell you something:

-once you are good enough you can enter in a decent clan with a t10 sh(that isnt completely ransacked)

-these sh have a building that gives you missions(if you spend the boxes) and the most interesting rewards are 1k gold or 7 day prems.

-and one of these missions is "do XX cap points" in 2h, so 3 t10 can push hard one side and cap fast.

so even for a player who hardly ever caps, 1k gold is enough to go for the cap and do the mission..

true story, we had a mission where it was do 3k dmg with a distance of 300m.. whole clan was playing arty

Yes and if I remember correctly the war department mission was like 200 cap points in 2 hours. So cap rush, win get some 40-50 capping points, rinse repeat ---> 1000 gold has been added to your account. Yuppiiiiiiiiiiiii
