WoT Dossier Tool

AlongTheMilkyWays's Photo AlongTheMilkyWays 21 Aug 2011

Hello, fellow tank drivers,

I want to share another WoT-related project I've been hacking on - World of Tanks Dossier Tool - http://wot-dossier.appspot.com/

There is already a website to display the statistics of one's tank dossier - http://wot.ctocopok.ru/ , but I wanted to build my own :)

This dossier file is used to store a local copy of statistics about the tanks you're driving, it's used to display the information available in the statistics tab in garage.

Feedback is welcome :)

Edit: I would also like to hightlight the public data API - http://wot-dossier.a...pspot.com/#!faq

GREAT !!!  :Smile_honoring:

But I found one little glitch at the Awards tab: the last column with the Confederate award is only shown half and therefore the numbers can't be read.
A scrollbar on top like in the Frag counts tab is missing.
I'm using Firefox 3.6 and a screen resolution of 1920x1200.
Oh, and if there are no more awards right of the Confederate, then the Kamikaze award is missing.

Would be nice if you could look after that.

Thanks,
Martin

I've added it.

A website of 950px in width looks pretty small, I could make it wider in case of larger browser screens.

Yes, there are still some fields not yet identified for these rarer achiviements. I've added saving of the unknown bytes, so I should be able to guess their purpose in the future.

Thanks for feedback :)

Could you possibly add numbers for the 'Tank Hunter' ribbon?

Could you elaborate? You mean to add a number of the amount of tanks that are fragged/not-fragged; to print tanks in a numbered list (1. 2. 3.); or something else?

Wow ! That was fast work  :Smile_great:

If only the WoT devs would be as fast as you ;)

Thanks a lot and thumbs up !

Martin

PS: Size of the listings is ok; just added my screen resolution because I thought the half shown Confederate has something to do with it. Everything is fine as it is now.

WoT is orders of magnitude more complex, simple Hack-Ship development wouldn't work for them.

Hardly anything useful, looking at random dossiers would be a waste of time, aggregating tank performances wouldn't be valuable either.

The one you get for likking 100 tanks with animal names. Just the number of kills that count towards it, to save you from having to add them all up.

Nice work. didn't work with my FF although, perhaps because of adblock (I blocked only ga.js, so wtf?)

did you hack into the structure on your own, or did you use the description on my site (wot.ctocopok.ru).
And thanks for mentioning it!

The tables sort ascending order upon clicking the header. Next click gives descending order.
It seems to have descending order first a little bit more handy (1 click and you see the top-performers).
No epic achievements are displayed, why is so?

There was an error, it was named Tank Hunter, while it should have been Master Tank. But I've added a frag count of these beast tanks in the frag tab.

Yep, it stops working, if ga.js doesn't load, that's because my code assumed it always would. Fixed it.

Yes, you are the originator of the idea :) I've seen the dossier file before (when looking for preference.xml), but didn't investigated it. Later I encountered a link to your website and you even have a tutorial about the header structure.

The key thing is that it's a pickled data file and the rest is just the parameter for the struct.unpack function :) I've borrowed the idea, but our implementations are completely different.

Yes, I've thought about it myself and now hacked the plugin to sort in reverse.

I've added Fadin's medal.

I can only identify the location of medal/achievement value in the file only if I've earned it myself.

If anyone is willing to help to identify the missing achievements, they can send my a private message with a screenshot of their epic medal list and a link to their uploaded dossier, that would make the identification a lot easier.
