Lets use this thread to help each other to identify tanks!

1)

Is this some sort of armor-reinforced CMP FAT or Morris C8 ?

i.jpg

Note the very similar rear wheel case and front bumper of the CMP FAT...

2)

could this be a view of the  M4A2 Sherman III Duplex Drive ?

l.jpg

The following picture was already verfied by H.A. to be that Duplex Drive:

EDIT: Meanwhile I doubt that it actually is a duplex drive tank. The character of the DD tank was, that it could float. But the pictures above show a M4 sherman hull with snorkel on it.  it does wade through water with ground contact.

image search does not help much either: https://www.google.c...sherman snorkel

But those are M32 recovery tanks, fitted with the DD fittings.

It's not a Sherman DD but a M32 Sherman ARV fitted with deep wading gear albeit not the usual type. This is probably because the common type could not be applied to a M32 Sherman.

Picture of a Sherman tank fitted with normal deep wading gear.
