General discussion reserved for - arty whine, gold whine and mm whine - there are no threads whining about aw yet - simple

I just spent £ 50 on a 5, yes 5, premium tonk package, included was a load of credits, gold and 120 days premium time.
the tier6 light tank is a belter!

sorry wg, the money was there for you to have but your offers and weak premiums no longer attract me.

Yep, Money is there just don't want to spend it here for the reason you stated.

As for the Type 59 bit....sorry not even that at a decent non inflated price could make me spend here for the foreseeable future......I watched orzy the night before last, he was saying that AW was more fun, graphically superior. Circon the same.

However, it has a Cryptic Studios feel to it.....not sure that's a good thing

Well I spent a couple of hours perusing the forums and from what I read:- The sounds are terrible, some of the graphics are bad, the game is badly optimised, the maps have huge clipping bugs, the matchmaking leads to only one sided battles, arty is complained about by both tank and arty players, lemming trains are as common as in WoT, the spotting system is terrible, HE is broken, penetration mechanics are a mystery, the community is as toxic as it is here only over there the developers join in too, and the grind is bad.

Didn't inspire me to sign up.

This is quite interesting,

A whole bunch of of us have kept our same ingame names, moved over to play and test AW and there's no thread on these forums  ...

I have an idea: why don't you got over to AW forums and make a thread there? That would be more efficient, because you are more likely to find AW players from AW forums than in WoT forums. Even if every 3rd player from WoT would have moved over to AW, that would still mean that your message falls on deaf ears 67% of the time.

You can discuss AW on the AW forums.

General Discussion is for General Discussion of WoT's mechanics, gameplay and features, not talking about some random game someone pulled of the internet. It's not too hard to grasp.

Who cares mate?

I like the P v E side. Played it whilst drunk last night, Far more forgiving to the drunk player than WoW.

I play WoT, WoWs and AW. And I will continue to do so since I like all Three games. I like the possibility to have more games to play so I don`t get to bored.

Pfff... did You took of Your tinfoil hat before You red all the bad things about AW? 75% of what You wrote is a total bull*hit. I dont care how many of WOT former/existing players will join AW, I just hope that those who will join, will at least out of grammar school.

I would play world of tanks if only arty is not so insanely broken in this game basicly making it unplayable in higher tiers.
Its not like i find AW a better game but its just not as frustrating if having to deal with 45% winrate bobs who miss you for 1000 hp on daily basis.

WG just failed big time with arty and it has sucked out all the fun i used to had in this game.

well - I am no WoT fanboi and thought I would try AW to see what all the hype is about.

Despite my Fibre BB I was faced with a 28 hour download and I had to set up some app or other that streams the installed files to at least 30 other people  who are trying to install the game. (cant set it lower than that)

At that point I stopped the install and removed their files from my PC.

If they sort their crapout I might try it in the future, but make sure what you are signing up to before you install this game.

Dude, its worth the try tbh.

Personally I love the maps and the modern tanks, while the graphics are different (I feel almost like a cartoon but not)

I'm running a 1st gen i5 with a 750 GTX TI card and it runs very very well. Do I think it can coexist with WoT...of course. but I logged into WoT this morning to get my daily double on my T20... .one game.....I've spend 7 games in AW playing my obj 155 :)  I have 30 days premium time, and i'm torn where to put my money. But i'm leaning towards AW.

Maybe you should stay on AW forums then...

I actually bought the tier 3 premium arty on AW  First arty games I have ever played. And it really is quite fun and challenging. You really need to work your butt off do to any significant damage, you just cannot sit still and lob shells while sitting in base... you get counter artied extremely fast.

[edited]off you utter cretin
My point to the rest of you normal people is this.
Orzanel, Foch, Circon etc ... all large names in our community are all very openly on there streams saying that AW is more "fun" than WoT at the moment.
If our General Discussion thread is not the place for this lol, I don't know where is.
But, what I really want to know is ... what do you guys think, do you agree, do you think its a "Flash in the pan"  ?

You seem upset, did the poor AW rng hurt your little feelings?

Of course it is, because it is new and has novelty value pretty much everywere: new maps, new tanks, new UI, new this, new that. But how long will it take until it will all be as familiar as WoT and all you are after are better stats and optimizing your playstyle to the max?

Well I have been playing this game less, my stats have dropped steadily over a long period indicating a loss of interest, the milking specials have disapointed me, bundles with in game gold with nothing worth purchasing, for example I always ran premium, but this year and last, regularily saw very long breaks in play, played three times this week so far.

300+ tanks in this game that I own, continually changed, majority underpowered, and longer lengthy grinds for crap that gets nerfed usually, grinding the Chinese, Japanese, UK felt like a grind into the gutter. Clan only rewards when the clan systtem is biased. Less maps. Continual tomato teams.

Sadly I do not see AW as the solution, I want WoT to improve, I want to enjoy WoT more, and do think AW is just a copy within a BF shell. They have the same venom on the forum with disgruntled WoT players slandering and stat whores belittleing, and the same overpriced bundles and lack of anything cohesive. AW has a hell of a lot to sort out, in game and within their forums, before it even comes close to what WoT had for me.

I had signed up for CB and OB, I had even intended on founders packs, but so far AW has proven to be a well avoided mistake, just as Warthunder and Mech Warrior Online. They too are all about the power of micro transactions.

That said, I have been playing AW this morining.
