That I will never be able to see live the greatest band since the Beatles, a band who created their own genre, and then introduced it to the public; who loved it and always wanted to be like it but could never replicate it, the band who stuck their middle finger up at the critics and said "we do what we want". The band who innovate, the band who change not only the music but the way they distribute it, the band who released the best rated album of the 00s.

This band has created a beauty in every song of every album that I'm completely unable to achieve even once with my lowly guitar (clue). They were the creators of what dragged people away from Brit-Pop, and splits opinions in pretty much every corner of their listeners.

Who are they? :P

See if you can guess.

I think you're a very talented person Waffle, but I don't think you can impersonate an entire band :P

C'mon guys, anything else? So far the best attempt is...Daft Punk? Well...okay. Think late 90s to early 00s for their best albums.

I hope you're not talking about Oasis Woody.

Can't be Oasis. You wouldn't struggle playing their tunes.

Oasis are just a bad copy of the Beatles. Same era but much much better music.

So it's a band that's split too?

I was going to maybe guess at Muse.

Basin, you're very close. People often compare Muse to them.

Woody, are you trying to make a riddle?

You say "Who are they?"

So by saying who do you mean 'The Who?' :P

Take it by quality of music and not popularity, Homer. You could ask other people my age if they'd heard of this band, and 95% would grunt "no". Ask a generation above, however, and you'll get 95% "yes" I'd say.

I have a few guesses:

Rolling Stones

Led Zeppelin

Queen

AC/DC

Black Sabbath

U2 (My Dad's Favourite)

The Police
