Hey guys,

Please discuss anything related to Season One in tier 8, you thoughts, what was working ,what wasn't, what can improved, etc.

Please remain as constructive as possible, saying "this sucks" does not help if you do not explain why and if you have a possible solution feel free to provide it as well.

Thanks!

Decept1on

Yes the principle is the same as Operation Safari, this is a general rule.

I'm just curious to see, if the expected bid spam will cover the whole map or if some provinces / areas will be forgotten. ;)

Renember that you can still Upgrade the Provinces. For Example an 300 Gold TX Province will yield around 700 Gold after T4 Upgrades.

Maybe you didn't saw but Wargaming came back to use the old system with fev key provinces generating large ammounts of gold and many smaller one's.

This along with not being able to cover each other should hopefully make the map more dynamic. I guess we'll see, but so far it looks like they've listened to a lot of the feedback.

EDIT: After looking at the map a bit more it looks like the overall income is much, much lower than it was previously. Increasing the competition is good, but decreasing the motivation for people to play CW is in my opinion not a good idea.

All the recent changes (latest campaign rules, seasons, penalties, gold hot spots) are about true fighting on every single day. I call it 'CW 2.5' and I really like it.

I call it "No reason for 95% of the clans to play CW at all because having 30 people online every day for 600 Gold is not worth the effort"

If you get the high income hotspots and are able to defend them, its fine. Otherwise the only income left are 170 and 300 Gold Provinces on TIER 10. Even upgraded a normal clan cant hold more than 2-3 provinces (Auction system ftw) which results in basically no gold. I hope the Season rewards will be good enough to keep players motivated.

You pull down the ESL prizes, you pull down the CW income, you make them overlap each other, you raise the gold spending with the inscription pay-to-win "upgrade", you move ESL to Tier 10 ... To me this looks like you're really putting the effort to kick us out of the game, guys that stuck around a bit too long gathering a bit too much to have to pay for anything anymore. Out with the old blood, in with the new, right ?

The emblems and inscriptions thing isn't happening.

So the only or main reason for you to play CW is gold? (No offence indended, just curious!)

Ofc we never got larger amounts of gold from CW, so we don't miss anything but we play CW for the fun, the different game mode, the competition, any form of awards and the clan's reputation. Some gold is nice but no reason to play at all.

For me and maaaaaany CW players, not getting at least 2,5K gold per month makes CWs failed investment. And this is like absolute minimum.

Same. playing Cups gives A LOT more with substantially less investment already.

Do I get this right, for you CW is only business to play the game for free? So - all monetary aspects asside - in which game mode do you find your fun or satisfaction?

I have a limited amount of free time.

I personally enojoy playing in teams more than playing randoms.

I personally enjoy Teambattles, Skirmishes and Clanwars.

If i want to spend my free time with this game and if i want to do something i love, i play one of this modes. And, naturally becaus im not dumb, i play the one who rewards me most for my personal performance. So i can decide if i play Clanwars for ~2000 Gold per Month or if i play ESL for alot more (even 500 gold every sunday from Go4Wot result in the same amount of gold and way less time investment).

Also you have to renember i lead a clan with alot of people online every evening. My personal goal is to provide them a good time and reward their activity and performance. If Clanwars dont get me enough gold to reward my players, i will maybe decide to play strongholds and reward them with more Boosts (or Missions - legends say they can also result in 1k gold).

My main point: Im not going to field 30/45+ active players every evening to pay them 1000 Gold per Month. Strongholds are nearly the same amount of fun and yield way more profit.

To be honest, the thing that drives people to play CW is the gold income. The amount of waiting that it requires means that it's pretty much a huge investment of time, you could play at least twice as many tier 10 skirmishes in the same time, which is more enjoyable because you cut out the 15+ minutes of waiting between each match. Of course it is enjoyable, otherwise people would just play ESL and probably make more gold, but did it suddenly become so much more enjoyable that they can decrease the income by half? I can't see any big changes that made it so much more enjoyable, so why did the income decrease by such a large amount.

After You play quite a bit of  CWs (over 400), skirmishes (over 3,1K) and stronkhold attacks (around 400) then CWs is just a business. I am enjoying only team based modes, I am almost not playing randoms but I want to get something out of my dedication and the free premium time and some gold for some new  funky prems is what I want. Don't get me wrong, some of us really like to play CWs just because it is possibility to play with friends in 15vs15 mode but big part of  interest is as I  said getting rewarded for time spend on it.  :medal::coin:
