Hey WG. I have permanent camo , ebmlems and inscriptions to all of my tanks since long time ago. I don't think it's fair that I will keep those on and they will give god knows what. I think that the right way to do things with the next patch is to erase all the camo , emblems and inscriptions from the tanks in my garage and give me back a 100% refund equal to the amount of gold I've spend back in the days for them. This way I can choose the proper combinations that suits my style. It will be pretty mean of your side if I have to keep them after you patch the game and they give me a bonuses that I don't want to use  ,  and of course this way you will force me to spend tons of gold again to do it all over again for all of my tanks.... NOT!!!! Simply because if this is the case I will 100% sell my acc. and move to another game. Kind of fed up with everyone spamming premium ammo all the time now days , and all the new things you guys are implementing into the game without polishing it from all the angles. On the other hand it's a great new feature for the game if done the right way.

"[...]they will give you the opportunity to not only stand out from the crowd[...]"

If you implement that WG in the way you showed on test server, then that is gone.

Everyone will go for the same emblems and everyone will look even more the same like a crowd.

If you insist on turning your game into P2W, at least detach bonuses from actual designs. Let people STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD by choosing what they want, not what they need to pick to be competitive.

And for the record - I sign under "this is worst idea ever".

And the sad part is that this discussion is as useless. WG just doesn't care for what we (clients) have to say.

If only there was another multiplayer tank combat game on the market...

Oh [edited]

There is :)

The way this is currently planned to be implemented will actually reduce the degree to which tanks are customised to suit the owner's aesthetic preferences.

Light Tanks for a given nation will all end up with the same inscriptions and decals (the ones which increase view-range), arty will all have the same loader decals/inscriptions etc. etc.

If you want variety you need to let the tank owner purchase the custom appearance and then choose what bonus to get for it. Identikit "customised" tanks is an oxymoron surely?

Sorry, but this is just stupid.

Insignias, Emblems and inscriptions should be in the game to make your tank individual. Now you are forced to use certain insignias, regardless if you want or like them or not. :(

Good job, you are making an excuse now - why you don't sell individual premium tanks without bundles. Because now you need the gold in the bundles for the emblems.

Can everyone here please get GreedyGamingEU emblem for all their tanks that gives +5% to all crew, instead of middle finger emblem that WG throws at us at this very moment?

Instead of:

new sounds

new physics

fixed map rotation

arty rework

(some tank replacements which were promised for months, useful tutorials ect.)

or anything else useful, that would justify the fancy "10.0 Rubicon" title of the patch, NOOOO    we get "customization", basically an additional vent or BiA for 600 gold, or 500k credits every month...... Instead of fixing the game or at least trying to do so, you add the next money grab feature.....

How exactly are inscriptions supposed to be "customizations" , when they change your game performance. This pretty much has the opposite effect, with everyone getting the same DPM increasing inscriptions or whatever (I'm sure the forum will have stats on what the best inscr. are in less than a month). Just like everyone gets the same modules and the same perks. "Customization".

Need to help Mother Russia to sponsor a war in Syria?

Wargaming is a Belarussian company, none of the profits go to Russia as far as I know (but might be mistaken, maybe some taxes?). Even devs don't really like Russia that much, based on some small hints from their behaviour (like moving to Crete, etc. - they hide it not to diminish their RU player base, of course)

Surprising to see it doesn't come with a bundle. Either way, this is retarded.

Thank you, I was actually in the Premium Shop when I thought I'd check the news page first for potential new deals. You definitely saved me some cash after seeing this news.

Well Done, WG

Seriously? This is the WORST idea Wargaming ever had.

World of Tanks used to be free to play game for fun. But now with every patch they are making it worse and worse.

Just like QuickyBaby said, it's a terrible idea. You are making us pay to be competitive. World of Tanks is a "free online game"? Well not if you make people pay real money for customizing their tanks. And if you've watched QB's video, he also said that 540 000 credits should be enough to keep them forever. It's getting ridiculous, Wargaming. It's just a horrible idea. Not like it's going to stop you from doing it though...

Alot of negative comments, seems like the typical news page for updates, but I'd see the feature for myself before passing judgement.

agree there is normally quite many negative unjustified posts in the news. but this time they are completely justified. this is a [edited]move by WG in order to improve profits for Q1 2016. Nothing but a blatant money grab, this and nerfing standard penetration is a clear statement WG is to big to be bothered by what their consumers want. The new Ryan Air of gaming.

Well, as i understood u will get between 5-10% better crew and skills. It was way more easy just to make 4th slot for extra equipment. NO way players without premm account and wiithout prem tanks can afford this. Because they cant afford, they will be obsolete in 1vs1 situation. For me this is not problem because i have premm account and prem tanks, but for the most players this is pay2win element. U need about 560.000 credits for tier VIII tank per month. If u have 5 or 6 tanks for CWs u need almost 3M credits just to be competitive on the battlefield. This wasnt very good decision IMO.
