Project "Black Gold": The Scorpion’s Tail
#3 Posted 19 November 2015 - 07:04 PM
Seems clear enough, currently just 2 questions:
1. Do the provinces need to be connected to HQ to get the points for holding or not?
2. In point 2.2 it says that provinces can be captured by
"taking part in an auction"
Does this mean that the auction with bids will be open on all provinces? Doesn't look like it from the context.

Question regarding 2.8: It says that if a province is unoccupied and someone captures it a part of its generated FP goes into "Land Value" (as of 2.4) and count as part of the value that can be captured. I wonder if it is the same for capturing owned provinces?
For example:
Place A is unoccupied for two days and has 800 points. Clan X captures A and gains all 800 and out of those 200 is added to the land value to be potentially taken by the next guy. Correct so far? If clan X then holds it for another two days before losing it to clan Y the province has 1800 points to be divided between X and Y according to 2.7. Correct?
Place A is occupied for two days by clan X and has 1600 points before clan Y captures it, clan Y receives 1137 points. Is then 25% of that added to to the land value of the province?
Also, if you leave the map, will you leave a fraction of the land value behind (like if someone captured it) or will you leave all of it behind?

2. There will be some Landings that will be on different provinces every day and the rest will be normal provinces. Rules state "Auctions are on" so i guess it works like the usual CW-bidding.

The Front will work the same as those during the Operation “Safari” event.
-----------------------------------
Does that mean you can set new landings, while you are on the map (as it was during the "Safari" )?
Following question would be, can one bid on auctions as well, while your clan is already on the map and is there a limit to that?

Let we suppose that we have such situaction in one of the province:
- on day 1 clan A get a province,
- on day 3 it lose it to clan B,
- on day 4 clan B lose it to clan C,
- od day 7 clan C lose it to clan D,
- till end of day 8 clan D have this province.
This is how it will look in table (according to me):
| Day | Points for a day | Losing team | Winning team | Losing % | Winning % | Fame_points_L | Fame_points_W | Accumulated_fame_points for next day | |
| 1 | 400 | A | 400 | ||||||
| 2 | 1200 | A | 1600 | ||||||
| 3 | 400 | A | B | 29 | 71 | 464 | 1136 | 1536 | |
| 4 | 400 | B | C | 25 | 75 | 384 | 1152 | 1552 | |
| 5 | 1200 | C | 2752 | ||||||
| 6 | 1200 | C | 3952 | ||||||
| 7 | 400 | C | D | 33 | 67 | 1304 | 2648 | 3048 | |
| 8 | 1200 | D | 4248 |
So:
| Clan | Fame_points |
| A | 464 |
| B | 384 |
| C | 1304 |
| D | 4248 |
Is my calculations correct? Or the fame points after being split (2.7 table) are not longer in province_accumulation_fame_points ?

@bondyros
Your point actually is:
When a clan captures province from the former owner, does he get his (75%-50%) points permanently at that point or can they be taken away once he looses the province after that.
I'd say he gets them permanently right away, after all, that part is there to encourage attacking and it will not make that much sense the other way around.
-----------
I also see another error/misunderstanding in your calculation.
Clan B should get either
1136 (for taking it from clan A) + 100 (400*0.25 ) = 1236 points if we follow my reasoning
or
1536 * 0.25 (lost after 1 day) = 384 points if we follow yours

@ bondyros, nice example !
I have a different understanding of the splitting % for the last 2 battles (I agree with the 1st):
- when B takes the province over, he keeps it only for 1 day. So when C wins, splitting should be 25% / 75%
- C keeps the province for 3 days, so when D wins, splitting should be 33% / 67%
But anyway you look at it, it seems that if you want to score big points, you need to finish strong ! For example, if clan A keeps a province for 7 days but looses on the last day to clan B, both clan end up with the same nb of FP, but with quite a different "investment"...

You're right --- don't know why but I read table 2.7 as -- "numer of day" not "days owned" :/
I recalculated it in my first post ... and know I hope that fame_points WON'T accumulate.
If not --- those clans who will have provinces after last day (don't care for how many days) will get the most fame_points (almost "for nothing" ).
If it will be like you say it would be:
| Day | Points for a day | Losing team | Winning team | Losing % | Winning % | Fame_points_L | Fame_points_W | Accumulated_fame_points for next day | |
| 1 | 400 | A | 400 | ||||||
| 2 | 1200 | A | 1600 | ||||||
| 3 | 400 | A | B | 29 | 71 | 464 | 1136 | 400 | |
| 4 | 400 | B | C | 25 | 75 | 100 | 300 | 400 | |
| 5 | 1200 | C | 1600 | ||||||
| 6 | 1200 | C | 2800 | ||||||
| 7 | 400 | C | D | 33 | 67 | 924 | 1876 | 400 | |
| 8 | 1200 | D | 1600 |
| Clan | Fame_points |
| A | 464 |
| B | 1136 + 100 |
| C | 300 + 924 |
| D | 1876 + 1600 |
Of course --- still clan D get a big bonus (100% of accumulated_fame_points from last days) thx for having this province till the end of stegs.

1. No
2. Yes, there will be auctions, and landing. Landing provinces will change their location after each Prime Time pass.

Yep, but remember that unoccupied province after capture will give the clan "75%" of points. Like it was captured by clan for 1 day. Correct.
Why 1137 ? Should be 1120 (70%).
If you leave the map you leave all behind, only points when province was captured will stay with clan.

No, applying for landing/auction when you have province is forbidden for 1st stage.
It will be enabled during second stage.

Thx for your answers Decept1on.
Anyway that kinda raised new questions. An example describes my problem the best way:
1st day of campaign. Map is completely NPC - only battles fought happen during the 250 landings while the 750 normal territories are auctioned.
I want to set 2 landing applications(maximum of applications you can set) in every timezone. For the later time zones you have to wait for the applicationsin the other time zones to turn into divisions, so for the 22h-zone you just can set between 20:0X and 21:00. - so far everything is clear.
Now: Additionally to the landings I want to set auctions for all 3 time-zones, but that brings some problems in the 22h-zone
So at 19:00 the auctions and battles get calculated and lets say it turns out I won at least one auction in the 20h-zone - since there are no defending divisions on the map on the first day the clans directly get the territory at 20:00.
So now the problem is, you cannot set landing-applications and auctions, when you already own territories on the map. But since it is still the same day can you set new landing applications after 20:00 for the 22h zone? And further do your auctions bids you made for the 22h-zone get rejected and can you still set new bids?
Sry for the mess and my crappy English. I hope I made the point clear.
tl;dr: Can you do anything in the 22h-timezone after you won an auction in the 20h-timezone? (Day1 of the campaign or in general without a defending division/another attacker from the map)?

Now you have managed to make me confused as to what 2.8 mean. And does 25% of what you capture get added to the land value, no mater who you capture it from?
2.8:
And 1137 because you have written 71% in the table, not 70%. Could you check on those values, just to be sure?
