Take a tour of the first urban map in World of Tanks and see which places in the real world were used as its blueprints.

I used the grand entrance façade of Anhalter Bahnhof in artwork when I was a student.  Anhalter Bahnhof and bunker was the site of one of the last struggles to take the city and the station was so badly damaged and being located so close to the Berlin Wall that the only surviving part was the façade to the grand entrance that languished in the middle of a lorry park. Now its in the middle of a car park.  A copy without the heroic statues on top is stuck on west the side of the station on Himmelsdorf .

Its just another small enclosed corridor CITY map rammed down our throats by WG like so many more small city maps in WOT, so what? who cares not me anymore just to many City now

CITY maps simply bore the crapout of me now Kharkov being the worst ever iv seen

Btw, my 11yr son thinks its awesome so simple to play just drive fast and click shoot non stop! so hard to master lol!

So now you know the mental age level for this map its for 11 year old kiddies ~ after all what actual thinking is involved in a small city map? hmm ZERO maybe?

Himmelsdorf holds the record for the largest number of birds on a map, with 29 birds circling above the city.

Who the HELL cares???!!!??? Oh my god...  :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Nice article guys, pleased to see it's going to be a regular feature.  Always interests me how and where map developers get their inspiration/knowledge, especially the fact based maps irrespective of what game there on.

The scenery in World of Tanks leads us through picturesque valleys and provinces, abandoned cities, industrial areas, water, fjords, and deserts

Not fjords anymore.
