Stupid stupid Microsoft. Been suffering from horrendous boot times for weeks. (we're talking 90seconds upwards to 10 minute boots on a high end gaming rig)

Here's a quick little fix if you have the same, my windows has never booted faster!

Reason why i'm sharing this is because it was tough as heck to find, been fresh installing, rerolling drivers, updating, dug through BIOS settings, cancelling OC's e.t.c. all in vain

The fix itself is easy as pie compared to the hell i've been through.

Spoiler

Voilá. If you had the same problem as me your computer will boot up faster again

To me it even skips that second annoying loading screen :)

The problem is rooted in a corrupt hibernation file that gets resetted this way.

Yeah, or, you know, spend a couple bucks on an ssd for a boot drive for your "high end gaming rig", that helps too. If youre on a super tight budget the ssd can be omitted but for anything even resembling " high end" theres rrally zero excuses to not get the ssd, 120Gb ones you can find for under 50€.
